  • Patent number: 11787294
Abstract: An autonomous mobile device (AMD) operating in a first mode moves within a physical space to perform various tasks such as displaying information on a screen, following a user, and so forth. The first mode may involve the AMD moving or maintaining a particular pose. While the AMD is in the first mode, a user may apply an external force to the AMD to reposition the AMD to a desired pose. Application of this external force on the AMD is detected and results in the AMD transitioning to a second mode in which the AMD may be repositioned. While in the second mode, the user may reposition the AMD. The second mode may constrain the magnitude of the resulting movement, preventing the user from moving the AMD too quickly which could damage components within the AMD. Once the external force ceases, the AMD may transition back to the first mode.

  • Patent number: 11787295
Abstract: A displacement of a foreign object is detected on the basis of a position of the foreign object at each of a starting time and a finishing time of a predetermined period. By delaying the timing for determining the displacement mode of the foreign object by the predetermined period (predetermined time), the timing for providing notification recommending the removal of the foreign object can be delayed. When after it is determined that displacement of the foreign object present around a power transmitting unit is present, the presence of the foreign object is not detected, that is, in a state where it is not necessary to provide the notification recommending that a user remove the foreign object, that notification is omitted.

  • Patent number: 11787311
Abstract: An occupant or object sensing system in a vehicle includes electrical circuits for capacitive sensing and corresponding circuits shielding the sensing system from interference. A sensing circuit and a shielding circuit may be printed by screen printing with conductive ink on opposite sides of a non-conductive substrate. The substrate is a plastic film or other fabric that has an elastic memory structure that is resilient to stretching. The conductive inks used to print circuits onto the substrate have a similar resilience to stretching such that the substrate and the circuits thereon can be subject to deforming forces without breaking the printed circuits. The substrate may be covered with a carbon polymer layer to provide alternative conductive paths that enable fast recovery for conduction in the presence of any break in the printed conductive traces on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11787325
Abstract: A navigational system for guiding a boat onto a trailer comprising at least a portion of a tow vehicle which forms a natural marker for the navigation system. A camera is located on the boat to assist the navigational system with aligning a longitudinal axis of the boat with a longitudinal axis of the trailer. A central vertical (mid) axis of the camera is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the boat. An image processing unit receives and processes images from the camera. The image processing unit, based upon a determination of a position of the central vertical (mid) axis of the camera relative to a target area of the detected natural marker, generating guidance commands to assist a user with alignment of the longitudinal axis of the boat with the longitudinal axis of the trailer and thereby facilitate proper loading of the boat onto the trailer.
