  • Patent number: 11868986
Abstract: A method for securely presenting transaction card data of a transaction card includes receiving, by a server, a pairing request to pair the transaction card with a user device. Based on the pairing request, the transaction card is paired with the user device by way of a pairing identifier. The server receives, from the user device, a data presentation request to present the transaction card data on the user device. In response to the data presentation request, the server validates the pairing between the user device and the transaction card based on the pairing identifier. The server communicates, to the user device, the transaction card data based on the validation of the pairing between the user device and the transaction card. The communicated transaction card data is presented on a user interface rendered on the user device.

  • Patent number: 11868990
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for facilitating sharing of tokens among different funding accounts linked to a digital wallet application to improve the computer resource efficiency of the mobile device. When a first funding account is linked to the digital wallet application is received, a token management system may determine whether a set of tokens have already been issued and stored on the mobile device for another related funding account. The token management system may cause a token service provider server to abort generating additional tokens for the first funding account. Instead, the token management system may modify characteristics of one or more of the set of tokens existed on the mobile device, to enable the one or more existing tokens to be usable in electronic payment transactions in association with the first funding account or the second funding account.

  • Patent number: 11868991
Abstract: A system for transacting in an environment with intermittent connectivity via a network backbone to a blockchain. A merchant device transmits a set of credentials for an ad hoc network to a buyer device and establishes a private peer-to-peer ad hoc network connection with the buyer device. It then conducts a transaction with the buyer device via the private peer-to-peer ad hoc network. If no network connection is available to a transaction blockchain, the merchant device stores a record of the transaction until such network becomes available and later sends the record of the transaction to the transaction blockchain.

  • Patent number: 11868996
Abstract: A transaction is conducted between a merchant site and a customer's electronic device using a payment processor. The merchant site is associated with a client-side application and a server-side application. The client-side application executes on the customer's electronic device. The client-side application electronically sends payment information retrieved from the customer's electronic device to the payment processor. The client-side application does not send the payment information to the server-side application. The payment processor creates a token from the payment information sent by the client-side application. The token functions as a proxy for the payment information. The payment processor electronically sends the token to the client-side application. The client-side application electronically sends the token to the server-side application for use by the server-side application in conducting the transaction.

  • Patent number: 11868997
Abstract: A payment system implemented on a mobile device authenticates transactions made via the mobile device. The mobile device generates a public-private key pair and receives an authenticating input from a user of the device. The public key is sent to a secure payment system, and the authenticating input is used to generate a symmetric key that encrypts the private key. After a transaction is initiated, the mobile device receives an authenticating input from the user. The symmetric key is generated from the authenticating input and the mobile device attempts to decrypt the private key from the encrypted private key using the symmetric key generated by the user's input. The decrypted key is used to sign a transaction authorization message which is sent to the secure payment system, along with payment information, which can verify the signed message via the public key. Additional techniques related to secure payments are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11869014
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices supporting physical proximity graphing are described. Some systems may store a limited set of location information for a set of humans (e.g., refraining from tracking device location information to maintain user privacy). A system may send a survey to each person indicating a suggested list of people based on the location information. The people may provide feedback confirming whether encounters occurred with each suggested human. The system may use this information to generate a graph using hashed identifiers to obfuscate user identities, where the graph tracks connections between people (e.g., based on encounters within a time period). Based on a trigger event, the system may analyze the graph and identify a set of hashed identifiers connected to a person of interest (e.g., traversing multiple levels of the graph). • Patent number: 11869015
Abstract: Computing technologies for benchmarking, which may be based on a k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN) algorithm or another suitable machine learning algorithm, solve a cold start problem for a recommender engine employing a collaborative filtering algorithm when training data of user preferences or actual data of user actions is not available. For example, the cold start problem's unavailability of labeled data to train and develop a supervised model may be addressed by breaking the cold start problem down into two parts. The first part includes a KNN (or another suitable algorithm) model to cluster profiles based on a set of variables and this implementation of the KNN model is unsupervised, since there is no labeled data available to train the KNN model. The second part includes a prioritization algorithm that leverages certain outputs from the KNN model and neighbors to prioritize benchmarks.

  • Patent number: 11869021
Abstract: Segment valuation techniques usable in a digital medium environment are described. To do so, a segment valuation system first identifies the attributes that are significant in achievement of a desired metric (e.g., conversion) and then values segments based on those significant attributes. Attributes are selected from the trained model based on significance of those attributes towards achieving the desired metric. A valuation of a segment may then be calculated based on the valuations of these attributes. For example, inclusion of the selected attributes within a segment, and the valuations of those selected attributes, is then used by the segment valuation system to generate data describing a value of the segment towards achieving the metric.
