Patent number: 11889994Abstract: Health information for a woman can be used to predict timing of events related to the woman's menstrual cycle. If available, historical cycle information for a woman can be used to predict upcoming cycle events, such as the start and stop of menstruation. To improve the accuracy of those predictions, one or more health metrics are monitored for the woman that can be correlated with the menstrual cycle. These can include, for example, the resting heart rate (RHR), blood oxygen concentration (SpO2) level, and hemoglobin concentration, among other such options. The metrics are monitored over time to determine patterns that can be correlated with menstrual cycle. This information can then be used to update the predictive model, as well as to update individual event predictions. Information about the predictions, and updates to the predictions, can be surfaced accordingly.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2020Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: FITBIT, INC.Inventors: Belen Lafon, Chris Hanrahan Sarantos, Conor Joseph Heneghan, Logan Niehaus, Jaclyn Leverett Wasson, Peter Colin Dess, Amir Bahador Farjadian, Zachary Todd Beattie, Atiyeh Ghoreyshi, Allison Shih Wu

Patent number: 11890012Abstract: A surgical severing and stapling instrument, suitable for laparoscopic and endoscopic clinical procedures, clamps tissue within an end effector of an elongate channel pivotally opposed by an anvil. An E-beam firing bar moves distally through the clamped end effector to sever tissue and to drive staples on each side of the cut. The E-beam firing bar affirmatively spaces the anvil from the elongate channel to assure properly formed closed staples, especially when an amount of tissue is clamped that is inadequate to space the end effector. In particular, an upper pin of the firing bar longitudinally moves through an anvil slot and a channel slot is captured between a lower cap and a middle pin of the firing bar to assure a minimum spacing. Forming the E-beam from a thickened distal portion and a thinned proximal strip enhances manufacturability and facilitates use in such articulating surgical instruments.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2022Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Cilag GmbH InternationalInventors: Frederick E. Patent number: 11890018Abstract: An example medical device for occluding the left atrial appendage is disclosed. The example medical device for occluding the left atrial appendage includes an expandable member having a first end region, a second end region and an inflation cavity. The example medical device includes at least one fixation member having a first end and a second end coupled to the expandable member. The at least one fixation member is configured to move from a delivery configuration to a deployed configuration in response to an expansion of the expandable member. Additionally, the example medical device includes a valve member extending at least partially into the inflation cavity and the expandable member is configured to expand and seal the opening of the left atrial appendage.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2021Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Boston Scientific Scimed, Inc.Inventors: James M. Patent number: 11890020Abstract: An aneurysm intrasaccular implant is provided having one or more coated regions. The implant includes a braided mesh movable from a delivery configuration having a single-layer tubular shape sized to traverse a catheter to an implanted configuration sized to be implanted in an aneurysm sac. The braided mesh can include an anti-thrombogenic coating defining a first section along the length of the braided mesh. The braided mesh can include a cell adhesion coating defining a second section along the length of the braided mesh. In the delivery confirmation, the first section can be positioned distal to the second section within the catheter. The second section is invertible to the implanted configuration such that the second section is positioned within the aneurysm sac and the first section is positioned to occlude an aneurysm neck.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2020Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: DEPUY SYNTHES PRODUCTS, INC.Inventors: Juan Lorenzo, Lacey Gorochow

Patent number: 11890022Abstract: The present invention relates to an articular joint replacement system. The system has first and second components. Each component has a tapered head piece for covering the end of a bone and for acting as an articular surface, an integrally formed screw stem having a length sufficient to extend into the medullary canal, and inwardly angled bone grips affixed to the underside of the head piece to allow solid fixation to the bone by compression press fit. The head piece of the first component is provided with a shaped exterior surface which complements the shaped exterior surface of the head piece of the second component and which allows motion in three planes.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2020Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: ACCUFIX SURGICAL, INC.Inventors: Glenn C. Patent number: 11890023Abstract: Aspects of present disclosures involve systems, methods, and apparatus for a bone mounted robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery system for precise implant position, soft tissue balancing, and guidance of tools during a surgical procedure, particularly partial or total knee replacement procedure. The system features a bone-mounted robotic arm with an end-effector for precise positioning of a surgical tool, positioning of implants, and balancing of soft tissues. The reconfigurable robotic system requires minimal training by surgeons, is intuitive to use similar to conventional instrumented surgery, and has a small footprint. The system works with existing, conventional instruments, patient-specific instruments, sensor-assisted systems, and computer-assisted systems and does not require increased surgical time and safely provides the enhanced precision achievable by robotic-assisted systems and computer-assisted technologies.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2021Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Assignee: Unik Orthopedics, Inc.Inventor: Charlie Wen-Ren Chi
