Abstract: A photon source for promoting the growth and maturation rate of members of the Plantae and Protista Kingdoms comprises a new luminous power source that provides the full range of light spectra by mimicking sunlight in a sunfleck (dappled) pattern by exciting xenon gas inside of an enclosed glass tube in instantaneous pulsed sequences. The micro-dose pulse penetrates the leaf strata to reach the maximum amount of photon processing pigments, provides the energy required for growth by enhancing photosynthetic plant functions, and significantly reducing production energy consumption. The pulse also allows the plant or Protista's photon processing compounds to process the photosynthesis reaction before the next flash, which allows for optimal use of the energy provided. The pulsed lighting sequences reduce energy consumption by up to 90%, and this makes it an excellent application for solar, wind or other green energy power thus reducing carbon footprint and making it the future of the CEA industry.

Abstract: Grape vines may grow on a trellis comprising a series of wires supported by a line of posts, but it is difficult to machine-prune vines after harvest without interference from wires. A trellis having primary posts and secondary posts may support vines in a manner that cane growing from vine's cordons can be readily removed. Between each neighing pair of primary posts there are at least two secondary posts. A cordon wire runs along and is supported by the posts at or adjacent to top. Cordons of vines are connected to, and grow along, wire such that most foliage and grapes forming part of vines grow below wire. Wire is held by posts above ground level in a manner to be non-destructively pulled upwards to free it from posts. This may occur after cordons have been severed from rest of vine and may then be readily stripped from wire.

Abstract: An irrigation system having a pipeline supported by one or more towers includes an improved truss connection system having a means for readily adjusting a crown height of the pipeline. A pair of cooperating members define a joint which selectively couples headed ends of adjacent truss rods together to form a truss rail of a truss system that supports the pipeline. A single fastener may fasten the cooperating members, a strut, and a cross-member together at the joint. A length of the truss rail may be decreased by holding the truss rods closer together. In an aspect, the headed ends of the adjacent truss rods are held closer together by inserting a shim in one of the joints. Decreasing the length of the truss rail increases the deflection of the pipeline and raises the crown height.

The carrier includes a base configured to be positioned directly onto the passenger seat, first and second side walls attached to the base proximate the opposing side edges of the base, and first and second openings spaced apart on the base, the first side wall, or the second side wall. The openings are configured to allow the safety harness to pass through each opening to engage and secure the carrier to the passenger seat. The base has opposing side edges to define a width and opposing front and rear edges to define a depth, wherein the depth of the base is greater than a depth of the passenger seat such that the base extends past a front edge of the seat. The side walls may be movable to provide an access to an interior of the pet carrier and a stabilizing support attached to the base proximate the front edge supports the extended portion.
