Abstract: Provided is a storage and delivery system that includes a container containing a stable liquid composition therein for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff and having a viscosity of less than 2000 cP and a water activity of greater than 95%, wherein the composition comprises one or more thickening agents and one or more polysaccharides, and a pump dispenser sealingly attached to the container and having a valve for inhibiting or preventing drying of the composition in the container. Further provided is a method of delivering a stable liquid composition to an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by use of the storage and delivery system. A method for increasing the viscosity of an aqueous liquid or aqueous liquid solid mixture foodstuff by adding the stable liquid composition thereto is also provided.

Abstract: A method for sanitizing pre-measured units of a pre-sanitized flowable food product in a sanitizing device installed into an existing food production system without substantially increasing the head height requirement of the feed production system. A plurality of containers are moved about a path with increased retention time through a plurality of stations: a receiving station, one or more sanitizing stations, and a dispensing station, and a container cleaning station. A pre-measured unit measured for packaging is received at the receiving station into a container. The pre-measured unit is exposed to one or more sanitizing agents at one or more sanitizing stations. The pre-measured unit is immediately packaged after sanitization. The pre-measured unit is dispensed into a packaging device at the dispensing station. The containers are then cleaned at the container cleaning station to prepare each container to receive a subsequent pre-measured unit of the pre-sanitized flowable feed product.

Abstract: Compositions and methods for nutraceutical compositions and methods for dietary alleviation of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Compositions may include at least one anti-hyperandrogenism ingredient. Compositions may include at least one insulin-sensitivity modulating ingredient. The anti-hyperandrogenism ingredient may include inositol. The anti-hyperandrogenism ingredient may include monacolin K (red yeast). The insulin-sensitivity modulating ingredient may include inositol. The insulin-sensitivity modulating ingredient may include curcumin. The methods may include oral administration of the compositions. The methods may include physician monitoring of symptoms during use of the compositions. Case studies demonstrate positive benefits of application of the compositions and methods in alleviation of PCOS. Further provided is a food article formed from a pellicle comprising a solid product of a co-culture of bacteria and fungi, which comprises at least 5% fungal protein by dry weight and at least 5% fiber by dry weight, and which is formed into a shape by cutting or molding. Further provided is a method of making such products by co-culturing bacteria and fungi to form a pellicle, and harvesting and shaping the pellicle. Further provided is a system that optimizes growth and production of a co-culture of bacteria and fungi (co-culture of microorganism) that includes a housing unit that includes stacked trays.

Abstract: Anatomically contoured ambidextrous compression glove particularly for the hand, form fitting to the tissue to ensure targeted delivery of therapeutic treatment to specific tissue, and yet remain stably affixed without pinching or binding, and allow for motion and use of the tissue while delivering targeted therapeutic treatment.
