Abstract: According to an embodiment, a device for tightening an article includes a housing, a spool rotatably positioned within the housing, a knob operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the housing, and a stop mechanism. The device is configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a first direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool within the housing that incrementally tensions a tension member and thereby tightens the article. The device is also configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a second direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool that incrementally loosens the tension member's tension. The stop mechanism is configured to prevent rotation of the spool in the second direction when the tension member's tension achieves or falls below a tension threshold.

Each touch fastener element has a stem extending from the surface and a head disposed at a distal end of the stem and extending laterally from the stem to a distal edge overhanging the surface. The head, stem and surface form a contiguous mass of resin, the head. The distal edge has multiple toes extending laterally outward and varying in shape and size about the edge, with adjacent toes having facing, free-form resin surfaces defining crevices therebetween. The fastener element is particularly flexible and engages with very fine fibers.

Abstract: A zipper puller configured to connect to a zipper slider includes a puller portion and a loop portion. The puller portion may include arm channels, an extension slot located along each arm channel, and a tab slot located within each extension slot. The loop portion may include a loop to loop through a zipper slider connector, arms extending from the loop, and an extension extending from each arm, where each extension includes a tab. The puller portion and the loop portion are configured to couple to connect the zipper puller to a zipper slider. The arms may be configured to flex outwardly to position tabs within arm channels such that the arms may translate along the arm channels toward the extension slots. The arms may be resilient when flexed to urge the extensions into the extension slots along the arm channels to position the tabs within the tab slots, thereby coupling the puller portion and loop portion.

Abstract: New forms of free weights for weight training are provided. Such free weights may include a flexible, gripping ring set in a channel with a varying width, configured to be threaded over the end of a barbell. The channel may include a locking notch. Such a free weight may be rotated until the channel is aligned with a floor (perpendicular to gravity) and then loaded onto the barbell by threading the gripping ring onto the barbell. The free weight is then rotated 90 degrees causing the barbell and gripping ring to travel away from a center of the channel, where the channel narrows and includes the locking notch. The gripping ring is resultingly deformed by the narrower section of the channel entered, into an ovoid shape, gripping the barbell by force of gravity. A user may then reverse these steps, to release and unload the free weight from the barbell.

Abstract: There is provided a fastener tape that satisfies a predetermined standard of peeling resistance between a reinforcing portion and a fastener tape body without using an anchor coating agent and in a simple manner. Abstract: A fastener stringer for a concealed slide fastener in which a knitted fastener tape has a tape main body portion and a doubled-tape portion that is formed by extending in a width direction from the tape main body portion and being folded back, wherein at least a chain stitch yarn is included in each wale forming the tape main body portion, and wales forming the doubled-tape portion have at least one wide wale having a second wale width that is greater than the first wale width of the wale forming the tape main body portion. The doubled-tape portion of the fastener tape can thereby be provided with superior flexibility.

The watchband can include a base having a contact surface opposite an engagement surface, contact loops on the contact surface for contacting a user, and engagement loops on the engagement surface for engaging hooks. The hooks can be provided on the engagement surface, opposite some of the contact loops. Edge sections of the base can wrap around a central section to define an end of the base. A tab can extend from an end of the base to facilitate attachment, adjustment, and/or removal of the watch band. The tab can further help maintain the assembled parts in place to enhance durability of the watchband.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an artificial nail with a pre-built apex which is accompanied by detachable nail tips of different shapes and sizes that modularly couple with a main body giving the user the ability to achieve a customizable salon looking nail on their own. The main body of the nail and the tip fit snugly together to form a flush top surface with a small seam. Various finishes and embellishments can be applied to the top surface without damaging it. Like a salon nail, it will last until the user chooses to remove it. This solves the problems associated with traditional “press-on” nails.
