  • Patent number: 11957477
Abstract: An allergen delivery system with a tray and delivery set. The delivery set includes a dispensing well. The dispensing well holds a wettable material to receive an allergen and provide it to a delivery barb that has been received into the dispensing well. A conduit is connected to the dispensing well, to receive the allergen and provide it to the dispensing well. A reservoir is connected to the conduit to receive the allergen and provide it to the conduit. A cap is disposed on the reservoir, with a hole, such that when a finger depresses the cap, the finger covers the hole and the depression creates pressure within the reservoir, which motivates an amount of the allergen to flow out from the reservoir through the conduit and into the dispensing well, to be absorbed by the wettable material, where the allergen is available for delivery to the barbed delivery applicator.

  • Patent number: 11957479
Abstract: A method for diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and related systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In the method, a visual evaluation of the patient in a standing position is first conducted. Condyle position in ear canals of the patient is palpated during jaw movement. A hip level of the patient is evaluated when back teeth of the patient are closed. If hips are unlevel, a first spacer is inserted between front teeth of the patient. The condyle position felt in the ear canals of the patient are re-palpated during jaw movements with the first spacer in place. The patient then raises and lowers his or her body by going up on their toes, and dropping to their heels. A reevaluation of the hip level of the patient is conducted and a positive or negative TMD diagnosis is indicated based on the reevaluation of the hip level of the patient.

Abstract: The present disclosure advantageously describes ultrasound imaging arrays that comprise ergonomic, non-rectangular shapes, as well as associated systems and methods. Non-rectangular transducer arrays allow for ergonomic probe shapes that improve patient comfort, maneuverability of the ultrasound device, and operator workflow. For example, an ultrasound imaging device can include an array of acoustic elements comprising a non-rectangular perimeter. The array includes a plurality of active elements configured to emit ultrasound energy and receive echoes corresponding to the emitted ultrasound energy, and a plurality of buffer elements surrounding the plurality of active elements at the non-rectangular perimeter of the array of acoustic elements. An edge seal comprising a sealing material is positioned at least partially around the plurality of buffer elements, and a buffer element of the plurality of buffer elements is spaced from at least one other buffer element by the sealing material of the edge seal.

  • Patent number: 11957514
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for determining a relative position between arrays of a flexible array device. The flexible array device according to an embodiment includes a plurality of arrays arranged at a predetermined interval in a deformable substrate, and the method includes measuring the first capacitance between adjacent arrays, measuring the second capacitance between the adjacent arrays after deformation of the substrate, and determining a relative position between the adjacent arrays based on the first capacitance measurement value and the second capacitance measurement value. According to an embodiment, the relative position between the arrays may be determined by measuring the capacitance between the adjacent arrays of the plurality of arrays arranged in the deformable substrate and measuring a change in capacitance caused by the deformation (contraction, relaxation, bending) of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11957515
Abstract: The present disclosure describes ultrasound imaging systems and methods configured to generate ultrasound images based on undersampled ultrasound data. The ultrasound images may be generated by applying a neural network trained with samples of known fully sampled data and undersampled data derived from the known fully sampled data to a acquired sparsely sampled data. The training of the neural network may involve training adversarial generative network including a generator and a discriminator. The generator is trained with sets of known undersampled data until the generator is capable of generating estimated image data, which the classifier is incapable of differentiation as either real or fake, and the trained generator may then be applied to unknown undersampled data.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a medical device and method to determine proper implant screw sizing for inserting within the intramedullary canal of a patient's bone. The medical device includes a radiolucent base that includes radiopaque markings indicative of an implant screw. The markings therefore appear on a radiographic image taken of the provided medical device. The markings may include first diameter markings and length markings, and may also include second diameter markings. The first and second diameter markings may be indicative of a major and minor diameter of an implant screw, respectively. The markings may also include an indication of a type or model of implant screw. In some instances, the medical device may include multiple sets of markings. In such instances, each set of markings is indicative of a different implant screw.
