  • Patent number: 11987391
Abstract: In broad embodiment, the present invention is a collection of systems, methods, and devices that describe a magnetic levitation linear accelerator driven hypersonic sled, magnetically coupled to a reusable Space Plane Launch Vehicle, which are accelerated to hypersonic speeds at sea-level altitude, thereby generating a hypersonic thermal shockwave of substantial energy which is then scavenged by methods and devices within the Space Plane Launch Vehicle, allowing it convert a distilled liquid water steam fuel payload, on a controlled basis, into supercritical steam exhaust and then use this supercritical steam exhaust for thrust continuing acceleration, using only electricity and distilled water as consumables and leaving only water vapor as a direct exhaust.

  • Patent number: 11987394
Abstract: Technology is disclosed herein for deploying stacked spacecraft. When the spacecraft are stacked corresponding z-axis magnetic torque rods of the spacecraft will align with each other along a z-axis. Thus, collectively the stack of spacecraft have one or more sets of magnetic torque rods aligned with the z-axis. Just prior to deploying the spacecraft the one or more sets of magnetic torque rods are operated to hold the stack of spacecraft together. For example, the north magnetic pole of the magnetic torque rod in one spacecraft may face the south magnetic pole of the magnetic torque rod in an adjacent spacecraft. To deploy the top spacecraft, the polarity of the z-axis magnetic torque rod(s) in the top spacecraft is/are reversed. After the spacecraft is clear of the stack the magnetic torque rod(s) in the deployed spacecraft may be de-activated. Then another spacecraft may be deployed in a similar manner.

  • Patent number: 11987396
Abstract: A system for controlling an operation of a vehicle to rendezvous with a target over a finite time horizon, wherein the vehicle and the target form a multi-object celestial system. A processor to formulate passive unsafe regions as passive safety constraints. The passive unsafe regions represents regions of space around the target guaranteeing collision trajectories with the target, in an event of total thruster failure. Update a controller having a model of dynamics of the vehicle with received data, and subject the updated controller to the passive safety constraints to generate control commands that produce a collision free rendezvous trajectory which avoids unsafe regions for the specified time period, guaranteeing a collision free trajectory with respect to the target in the event of the total vehicle thruster failure, so the vehicle does not collide with the target. Output the control commands to activate or not activate thrusters of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11987398
Abstract: Method and apparatus to efficiently launch spacecraft from underwater. Unfortunately, the prior art processes of launching spacecraft from sea either make no use of water buoyancy or waste use rocket fuel to overcome water resistance. As a result, payloads are smaller than are ideal. The instant invention however adds water buoyancy to increase the overall thrust of the spacecraft and therefore makes the spacecraft more efficient than if launched outside of water.

  • Patent number: 11987429
Abstract: A child resistant pill container includes a locking feature, which can be unlocked using a knob. The knob can be a rotatable knob or a slide knob. The knob will be fixed or locked in place until being released/unlocked by squeezing an actuator. The squeeze action allows the knob to move out of its fixed position and move by either rotation or linearly sliding. The motion of the knob moves a lock bar from its locked position to an unlocked position. While the lock bar is in the unlocked position, one or more of the lids can be unlatched and lifted from their closed position to an open position. When the knob is released, a spring action returns the knob back to the fixed (locked) position, moving the lock bar back into the locked position, and any lids still in the closed position are again locked in place.
