  • Patent number: 12012980
Abstract: Disclosed cyclonic flow-inducing pumps overcome drawbacks associated with known adverse flow conditions that arise from flow of certain types of materials through a material flow conduit. Such cyclonic flow-inducing pumps provide for flow of flowable material within a flow passage of a material flow conduit (e.g., a portion of a pipeline, tubing or the like) to have a cyclonic flow (i.e., vortex or swirling) profile. Advantageously, the cyclonic flow profile centralizes flow toward the central portion of the flow passage, thereby reducing magnitude of laminar flow. Such cyclonic flow profile provides a variety of other advantages as compared to a parabolic flow profile such as, for example, increased flow rate, reduce inner pipeline wear, more uniform inner pipe wear, reduction in energy consumption, reduced or eliminated adverse considerations such as slugging.

Abstract: An abnormality detection device and a fixing structure which are suitable for detecting an abnormality of a fastener such as a bolt or a nut are disclosed. An abnormality detection device detects an abnormality of a fixing structure, which includes a conductor and which fix steel plates to each other, and a spacer which includes an insulator and which is disposed between the steel plates and the washer. The abnormality detection device includes a transmission antenna that radiates electromagnetic waves to the fixing structure, a reception antenna that receives electromagnetic waves reflected by the fixing structure, and an abnormality detector that changes a frequency of the electromagnetic waves radiated from the transmission antenna to acquire frequency characteristics of standing waves received by the reception antenna. The abnormality of the fixing structure is detected by comparing the frequency characteristics with frequency characteristics in a normal state.

  • Patent number: 12012989
Abstract: Open-topped channels/troughs are often used as a footing in which glass panels may be placed and secured substantially vertically. A tapered wedge may be forced into the gap around the panel. As gradually wider portions of the wedge are forced into the gap, the panel is gripped ever tighter. However, it is often difficult to remove panels secured in this manner. The present invention provides a wedge support which can be separated into two portions by the insertion of a tool into a tool socket. In this way, if a wedge is used with the wedge support, the wedge support may be removed with the tool thereby permitting easy removal of the wedge.

  • Patent number: 12012999
Abstract: In a claw-type gearshift, a blocking ring is arranged axially between a hub body having a sliding sleeve and a clutch body such that it is rotatable between a release position and two locking positions. The blocking ring is adapted to be displaced toward the clutch body until conical friction surfaces on the blocking ring and on the clutch body come into contact. The blocking ring constitutes a form-locking blockade for the sliding sleeve against displacement of the sliding sleeve teeth between the clutch body teeth when an axial shifting force is applied in the non-synchronized state. When the claw clutch is shifted, a difference in speed between the clutch body and the hub body is reduced and the sliding sleeve is deflected in the axial direction toward the speed change gear to be shifted, as a result of which a friction surface of the blocking ring and a mating friction surface of the clutch body come into contact.
