Publication number: 20240206410Abstract: The present invention includes a modular aeroponic garden system for growing plants. Through circulating an atomized fluid, nutrients and air through a conduit circuit the modular aeroponic garden system provides a closed-loop aeroponic system for growing plants. The closed-loop configuration allows the user to better control the internal environmental conditions of the modular aeroponic garden system, therein facilitating improved plant growth. Modular sections of conduit and modular joints allow the user to customize the aeroponic garden system to unique spaces and grow a variable quantity of plants. In doing so, the closed-loop system reduces time spent on maintenance, cleaning and monitoring of the plants grown within the modular aeroponic garden system and the system itself while better conserving resources such as water, electricity, and nutrients than comparable open-loop systems. In addition, novel open systems are provided, wherein fog generation devices are placed within the garden system.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 9, 2024Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventor: Isaac Wilcox

Publication number: 20240206451Abstract: An image of a portion of a geographic area is accessed by a farming machine. The image is analyzed by the farming machine to identify a plant in the portion of the geographic area. A treatment plan is determined for the plant by the farming machine based on one or more characteristics of the plant and further based on a set of treatment objectives. The set of treatment objectives including two or more of a plant hindrance objective, a plant reproduction limiting objective, a carbon footprint limiting objective, and a collateral damage limiting objective. An action is performed by the farming machine based on the treatment plan.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2022Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventor: Noel W. Anderson

Publication number: 20240206453Abstract: A system mounted in a vehicle for agricultural applications includes a master apparatus and one or more slave apparatus. The master apparatus includes a central image-capture device and a master control device that is configured to acquire first geospatial location data including a first precision value and obtain location correction data from an external device. The master control device further generates a second geospatial location data including a second precision value by applying the location correction data to the first geospatial location data. The master control device further communicates the generated second geospatial location data to the slave control device. Thereafter, each slave control device is configured to determine one or more time slots in advance to automatically perform a determined action when the vehicle is in motion.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2023Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: Aditya Sunil Patil, Santosh C. Publication number: 20240206454Abstract: A system mounted in a vehicle includes a boom arrangement, which includes a predefined number of electronically controllable sprayer nozzles and a plurality of image-capture devices. One or more hardware processors of the system are configured to distinguish crop plants from weeds using trained AI model when the vehicle is motion based on sequence of images obtained from the plurality of image-capture devices. The distinguishing of the crop plants from weeds includes detecting a first set of crop plants with drooping leaves, detecting a second set of crop plants manifesting an elastic change in physical characteristics of the second set of crop plants; and detecting a third set of remaining crop plants. Such holistic detection ensures that no crop plant goes undetected and cause a specific set of electronically controllable sprayer nozzles to operate accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2023Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: Dhivakar Kanagaraj, Raghul Raghu, Pranav MP

Publication number: 20240206455Abstract: A weed control method for an autonomous work device comprising driving means configured to move the autonomous work device in an outdoor environment, sensor means configured to sense an environment of the autonomous work device and to generate a sensor signal based on the sensed environment, and a control circuit configured to control the driving means to navigate the autonomous work device in the environment based on the sensor signal. The weed control method comprises a step of obtaining a location of a target plant in the environment. The control circuit controls the driving means in a weed suppression mode, to position at least one wheel of the driving means on the computed location of the target plant and to perform a predetermined movement pattern of the autonomous work device while simultaneously maintaining the at least one wheel in an area at the location of the target plant.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2023Publication date: June 27, 2024Applicant: Honda Research Institute Europe GmbHInventors: Nils Einecke, Mathias Franzius

Publication number: 20240206456Abstract: A weed control system includes an autonomous work device, and the autonomous work device includes driving means configured to move the autonomous work device, sensor means configured acquire a sensor signal from the environment of the autonomous device, and a control circuit configured to control the driving means to navigate the autonomous work device in the environment. The weed control system includes at least one disposable releasable shading plate arranged on a release mechanism of the autonomous work device. The control circuit is configured to detect plants in the environment based on the acquired sensor signal, to determine whether a detected plant is a target plant, and in case a detected plant is a target plant, to control the release mechanism to release the releasable shading plate onto the location of the detected target plant.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2023Publication date: June 27, 2024Applicant: Honda Research Institute Europe GmbHInventors: Nils Einecke, Mathias Franzius

Publication number: 20240206457Abstract: A cryopreservation cartridge has a frame and multiple cryopreservation trays. The frame has multiple mounting walls. Any two of the mounting walls have multiple tray shelf segments formed therebetween. The cryopreservation trays are respectively and detachably mounted on the tray shelf segments. Each of the cryopreservation trays has multiple cryovial mounting holes. Each of the cryovial mounting holes is adapted to load a cryovial. The cryopreservation cartridge is assembled by a frame and multiple cryopreservation trays so that one cryopreservation tray can be detached from the frame and held by a picker and then a mechanical arm can easily access any single cryovial loaded in the cryopreservation tray, thereby facilitating process of placing in or taking out the cryovial for automatic operation of cell cryopreservation and thawing.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2022Publication date: June 27, 2024Inventors: HSIN-WU MI, CHIH-HUANG LIN, HSIN-FEI HUANG, CHIA-I HSU
