Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to method and system for estimating smoking episodes from smoke puffs using a wearable device. Since the expense of treating diseases is rising, a digital smoking cessation improves healthcare systems such as cardiovascular issues. To achieve an optimum model given the platform limitations a very compact model is built specifically for the target microcontroller platform. The method of the present disclosure generates an optimum model for deployment on the wearable device using a pretrained deep neural network (DNN). A set of sensor signals are inputted to a convolutional neural network (CNN) smoke detection model to detect smoke puffs. Gesture classifier determines whether the user of the wearable device is engaged/engaging in a smoking session. Further, the method provides users of the wearable device with a cloud estimated smoking behavior analysis based on a set of smoking episodes to generate a set of user risk scores.

Abstract: A sleeper garment for an infant employs an anti-flail receptacle for mitigating a startling sensation from a flailing reflex that is inherent in development. The receptacle occupies the sleeve region and provides a limited region of movement to accommodate a controlled degree of movement, but constrains the movement to avoid startling a sleeping infant awake. The receptacle has a semicircular or polygonal shape that allows hand and elbow flexure, and a elastic mesh periphery to provide an elastic, cushioned response toward the end of the allowed range of movement as the periphery of the receptacle stretches. The receptacle defines a periphery from the shoulder toward the torso. This provides a more settling response to the flail reflex than a tight swaddle, which restricts almost all movement, and may be combined with pressure accessories to provide further soothing sensations simulating a caregiver touch.

A reversible coupling device reversibly couples the upper to the sole, between an operational configuration, where coupling portion is in the groove to prevent the extraction of the respective coupling portion along the insertion direction, and a non-operational configuration, where the coupling portion and the at least one groove are not constrained to each other so that the upper and the sole are separated or separable, and vice versa. The reversible coupling device includes first coupling elements fixed in the groove and second coupling elements fixed to the coupling portion, which are mutually reversibly couplable, said first and second coupling elements defining a quick fastening/unfastening system.
