Abstract: A food grilling device for clamping food items for grilling includes a clamping module, which is complementarily to a cooking grid of a grill. The clamping module can be positioned upon or removably replace the cooking grid. The clamping module comprises first and second handles to which is attached a pair of grates. At least one grate is hingable relative to the first handle. The grates are selectively positionable in open and closed configurations, wherein one grate extends angularly from the other and wherein the grates are substantially parallel planar, respectively. The second handle is hingedly attached to one grate and is selectively attachable to the other grate. The clamping module thus can clamp onto a food item with the first and second handles enabling a user to flip the clamping module and the food item, as needed.

The intestine pleating attachable structures are coupled to the endoscope shaft, and include at least one flexible appendage to enhance contact between the structure and the intestinal wall. When the endoscope is retracted, the flexible appendage assists in moving the intestinal wall relative to the imaging system. This movement causes the intestine to pleat. The video laryngoscope is programmed to receive a steering input on the display screen, translate the steering input into a movement of the drive output, and transmit a steering signal to cause the movement of the output drive.

Abstract: The technology relates to a cartridge, detachable from a video laryngoscope, that retains a proximal end of an introducer, such as an endoscope. The cartridge includes a housing, an endoscope receptacle at least partially housed within the housing and shaped to receive the proximal end of the endoscope, an electrical interface exposed inside the housing, and an actuator having a locked and unlocked position. Adjustment of the actuator from the unlocked position to the locked position moves the proximal end of the endoscope into contact with the electrical interface and locks the proximal end of the endoscope in the cartridge.

A hub assembly and cannula of the single-use portion can be rotated either under power or manually, and a tip portion of the cannula can be deflected manually or under power in a deflection plane. One or more ports can be attached to the hub assembly communicate with one or more lumen in the cannula. The ports are aligned in a luer plane that may be in-line with the deflection plane or at an angle relative to the deflection plane. A remote display connects to the ureteroscope or endoscope wirelessly or through a cable.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible surgical system for endoscopic spinal decompression and methods thereof. Various methods of accessing the epidural space with this instrument are described. The system design enables placement of the device through several approaches. It is then advanced under direct visualization or fluoroscopic (X-Ray), for example, into areas of the spine including lumbar (low back), thoracic (mid and upper back) and cervical (neck). The pathologies encroaching upon the spinal space can then be visualized wherein the epidural membrane can optionally be displaced to further aid in visualization. The membrane can be used to protect regions of tissue adjacent the site to tissue removal.

Abstract: In an ophthalmology system, an right-eye imaged image is displayed on a display section for presentation to an observer through an optical unit and a reflection member. A left-eye imaged image is also displayed on a display section for presentation to an observer through an optical unit and a reflection member. A separation between the left and right imaged images is made wider than a spacing between the left and right optical units. This enables image presentation with the optical axes for the observer viewing the images intersecting in front so as to cause a convergence angle to arise.

Abstract: A system includes glasses for executing a process to correct the alignment of an eye if a misalignment condition is detected. The glasses include lens that change opacity as instructed by a processor. The system determines that an eye is not aligned correctly based on data captured by one or more sensors in the glasses. Data is captured periodically and compared to a baseline set of data. If a deviation is detected, then the appropriate lens is turned “ON” to shade the aligned eye, thereby forcing the misaligned eye to properly align itself.
