Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to a pop-up vest, illustratively implemented as a flotation apparel item comprising a water sport apparel item, an inflatable Personal Flotation Device (PFD) configured in the water sport apparel item, and an inflation trigger configured to inflate the PFD. The water sport apparel item may comprise a shirt, t-shirt, wetsuit or rash guard. The water sport apparel item may be adapted to include a plurality of ribs to provide structural support to the PFD. The inflation trigger may be a pull tab configured to inflate the PFD when desired. The inflation trigger may be a sensor configured to automatically inflate the PFD when the sensor is wet. An exemplary pop-up vest implementation may be configured with a water activated light to improve visibility. Some pop-up vest designs may comprise a whistle permitting the user to raise awareness of their location.

The brow pad incorporates an elastically deformable portion on at least one side of a central brow portion thereof adapted to elastically deflect and/or compress towards the wearer's head when the face shield is worn.

Abstract: An apparatus for executing a method of manufacturing multi-piece open-back isolation garments (10) includes machinery for creating discrete torso web pieces (12) from a continuous torso web, combining the discrete torso pieces with a continuous shoulder web (14), and cutting the combined torso and shoulder web structure to form the isolation garments. The isolation garments may be used as protection from potentially hazardous or unclean materials in a variety of different environments.

Abstract: Headwear comprising a common baseball cap with a section of material permanently attached to the rear of the cap. In a preferred embodiment, the section of material may either be concealed under the cap or selectively deployed over the head, ears, and neck of the wearer. The deployable material includes an elastic outer edge to ensure a secure fit which provides protection to the wearer's head, ears, and neck from uncomfortable climatic conditions and from unfavorable surrounding conditions to which the wearer may be exposed. Additionally, the sewing method for attaching the selectively deployable material to the baseball cap provides a comfortable fit and feel to the wearer whether the material is concealed or deployed from the rear of the cap. In an alternative embodiment, the material can be comprised of stretchable, elastic, microfiber polyester, interlocking woven fabric material with superior weather protection, moisture-wicking, close-conforming fit, and compact storage characteristics.

A wearer using the sheet to protect a sole front contact with a floor surface is able to prevent dirt, genus, bacteria, etc. from being nicked-up by the sole of a foot, socks, or the sole of a shoe. When the user has completed their trajectory along a potentially unsanitary path, such as through the security hue at an airport, they peel the sheet away, optionally returning to a bag provided with the packaging.

Abstract: Golf shoes having improved constructions are provided. The golf shoes include upper, midsole, and outsole sections. The upper may be made of a soft, breathable leather material. The midsole includes an upper region formed from a first material such as a foamed ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA); and a lower region formed from a second material such as a foamed ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), wherein the materials have different hardness levels. A fiber-reinforced composite plate such as, for example, a carbon fiber plate is disposed in the midsole. The composite plate has a molded three-dimensional shape to provide additional stiffness to the golf shoe, particularly in the rear foot region of the shoe. The outsole contains different traction members arranged in a precise geometric structure that helps provide improved stability and traction.

The wearer can flip or rotate the liner so that the side having the desired benefit contacts their foot during use. One side of the liner may include a plurality of benefits in a preselected pattern across the surface. A liner kit provides a material blank from which the liner may be cut to produce a desired distribution of benefits. The benefits of the liner may vary with respect to the location on the surface of the liner, with some areas of the liner displaying an increased or decreased degree of a specific benefit.

A sole structure includes an outsole with a ground-engaging surface, and a midsole with first and second midsole segments. The first midsole segment includes a cushion that attaches to an upper's hindfoot region and to the outsole's upper surface. The second midsole segment, which is spaced from the first midsole segment by a midfoot gap, includes a fluid-filled bladder spaced from another cushion by a forefoot gap. The cushion and bladder attach to the outsole's upper surface and to the upper's forefoot region. A cage, which partially surrounds the second midsole segment, includes a cage plate that attaches to the upper and the fluid-filled bladder. Arcuate cage wings project from opposing medial and lateral sides of the cage plate and insert between the second cushion and outsole.

Abstract: A footwear sole assembly with upper and lower layers, where the upper layer has a firmer durometer than the lower layer. Upon a user's heel strike, the difference in resilience between the upper and lower layers causes the upper layer to compress the lower layer. Sidewalls in the upper layer are urged toward each other on the heel strike, providing cradling support for the user's heel. The rigidness of the sidewalls of the upper layer also encourages the foot to propel through the stride, especially with the addition of a rolling element along the side of the footwear.

Both resultant impulse and momentum vectors are combined with the user's forward momentum because the user holds onto the grip of the device.

Abstract: A cane system having an attachment end that is constructed and arranged to temporarily secure to a floor mounting plate. The floor mounting plate includes an attachment mechanism that allows the cane to be attached in an upright secure position, wherein the user can rely upon the cane to help stand up from a seated position. The attachment mechanism is further used to release the cane from the floor mounting plate, preferably by a foot operated lever. A spring-loaded T-handle is used for height adjustment of the cane, allowing ease of adjustment to accommodate a standing or sitting position.

Abstract: According to one aspect, what is proposed is a method for generating a photorealistic rendering of a cosmetic product, comprising: —obtaining (10, 12) a reference image (Xref) of a real cosmetic product (PC) applied to a first person (P1) and at least one source image (Xjsource) of a second person (P2), —implementing (13) an encoding artificial neural network (E) configured to determine characterizing parameters (E(Xref)) of the cosmetic product (PC) from the reference image (Xref), and then —implementing (14) a realistic physically based rendering engine (R) configured to generate a transformed image (R (Xjsource, E(Xref))) in which a photorealistic rendering of the cosmetic product (PC) is applied to the person (P2) from said at least one source image (Xjsource) based on the characterizing parameters (E (Xref)) of the cosmetic product (PC) that are determined by the encoding artificial neural network (E).

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to food holders and in particular to a food holder for holding food and/or food containers. The food holder may include a receptacle. The receptacle may include an insulated inner surface for keeping contents at a desired temperature. Food holder may further include an expanded form or a collapsed form for positioning within an internal compartment of a garment. In addition, food holder may include a strap attached to said receptacle. Advantageously, the food holder may be constructed to hang from a user's neck for hands free use and ease of access to contents within the food container.
