Abstract: An offloading system for use with a treadmill includes an air chamber configured to be selectively inflated between a deflated condition and an inflated, operating condition, a user seal coupled to the air chamber and adapted to receive a user so that, in the operating condition, at least a portion of the user is received in the user seal and positioned within the air chamber, a pump operable to inflate the air chamber, and a controller configured to determine an occurrence of a loss of pressure in the air chamber and, in response to the occurrence, cause a reduction of speed of a running belt of the treadmill.

Abstract: A respiratory muscle strengthening device includes: a mask body which covers at least a part of the face of a user; a pressure unit which is provided at one side of the mask body to control air inhaled from the outside of the mask body; a sensor unit which is provided at one side of the mask body to measure a respiratory pattern of the user; a band part which is formed to extend from the opposite ends of the mask body and by which the mask body is brought into close contact with the face of the user; and a cover part which is detachably coupled to one side of the mask body. Abstract: A method and an electronic apparatus is provided. A first UI indicating a start of an activity is displayed when first data indicating that the activity occurs is received from a first sensor. Information is displayed about a preset time or a preset intensity required for the activity to be converted into exercise. The preset time or the preset intensity is set based on user information related to a characteristic of a user. It is detected that the activity is maintained for at least one of the preset time or at the preset intensity. In response to the detecting that the activity is maintained, a second UI is displayed indicating a start of an exercise. A sensor is activated based on the start of the exercise and exercise history of the user. A function is executed for measuring exercise information by using second data received from the activated sensor.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods for producing molded golf balls and the resultant balls. The methods of this invention involve producing foamed polyurethane covers and these methods help reduce dimple distortions and other surface imperfections. These golf balls contain an inner core and outer foamed polyurethane cover. One or more intermediate layers can be disposed between the core and cover. In one embodiment, a castable liquid polyurethane composition containing a foaming agent is dispensed into mold cavities, which are then pressed together to form a foam cover for the ball.

Abstract: A method of customizing a golf club, wherein the method includes generating operating data representative of a user operating a mechanical device. The operating data is generated by a first sensor sized and configured to be removably positioned in a mounting port formed on the mechanical device during operation of the mechanical device. The sensor is interchangeably positionable in the mounting port with at least one mass insert, the at least one mass insert being adapted to be interchangeably positioned in the mounting to provide at least two different mass configurations. The method further includes determining a recommended configuration of the at least one mass insert specific to the user based on the operating data generated by the sensor, and transmitting information representative of the recommended mass insert.

Abstract: Embodiments of a golf club head with a textured strikeface and methods to form said club head through laser shock treatment are generally described herein. The golf club head can comprise a body and a strikeface. The strikeface has a textured front surface, with an array of indentions. Each indention can have a footprint area of between 0.01 ?m2 (1×10?8 mm2) to 250,000 ?m2 (0.25 mm2). The textured front surface can affect the spin imparted to a golf ball upon impact. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

In one example, a method of manufacturing a golf club head may include providing a golf club head having a face portion. The method may include determining a reference characteristic time value at a reference location on the face portion, determining a measured characteristic time value at each of a plurality of locations on the face portion, determining a differential characteristic time value at each of the plurality of locations, and altering a face thickness at a location where the differential characteristic time value is nonzero. Abstract: A device for inserting a golf tee in the ground at a determined height has a housing with a tubular interior shaft, and having two opposed side slots. Locking strips with parallel teeth on opposites sides of slots are fixed within the housing. A pusher assembly has flexible pivot arms with locking teeth which face outwardly towards the locking strip teeth such that in an undeflected configuration, the pivot arm teeth engage with the locking strip to fix the pusher assembly at a selected height. Release buttons on the arms are engaged through the locking strip and housing slots for adjusting the height of the pusher. The housing has a base with a downwardly facing opening through which a golf tee is inserted to engage the pusher assembly. With the pusher assembly set at a calibrated height, the tee is insertable by urging the entire assembly against the ground.

Abstract: An intelligent interactive real road simulation training device that simulates the real road grade and slope change while playing video based on the geographic location of the road from the pre-processed video and the speed of the user. With the video playing, the user sees the road moving as the user moves, and the speed of the road moving by is based upon the user's speed on the exercise training equipment. The user also feels the grade and slope change as the road grade and slope changes on the video. The invention can be integrated into any exercise training equipment such as a bicycle trainer or treadmill.

Abstract: A golf glove with a grip assist device. The golf glove has a glove fastening device for tightening the glove around the hand of the user inserted into the glove. An elastic strap is permanently connected to the golf glove adjacent to the glove fastening device. The elastic strap is wrapped around the user's hand and a golf club that is held in the user's hand and is for assisting the user in gripping the golf club. An elastic strap fastening device is connected to the elastic strap and operates to hold the elastic strap in position while the strap is wrapped around the user's hand and the golf club.

Abstract: A system and method of displaying, on a touchscreen display of a mobile device, a virtual game controller having at least one virtual button configured to control multiple actions of an avatar representing a player within a video game executed by a remote gaming server. The player's interaction with the at least one virtual button is received through the touchscreen display and used to generate a control signal based on the received player interaction, the control signal being interpretable by the video game as an instruction to perform multiple actions in the video game. The control signal is transmitted from the mobile device for receipt by the remote gaming server executing the video game.

The controller is configured to perform operations including detecting an actuation of the actuation component, wherein the actuation component is associated with performing of an action in a video game executed by the computer system. Responsive to detecting the actuation, an instruction is provided to the computer system to perform the action, wherein, based on a current value of a timer, the computer system restricts the action from being performed. The timer, having been previously initiated based on a prior actuation of the actuation component, relates to a cooldown period during which the action cannot be repeated after the action is performed. Responsive to receiving a command from the computer system, a tactile effect is generated as an indication to a user that the action can be repeated.

Abstract: A method of shading spatial units while rendering a frame in a video game. Initially, the virtual camera field of view is divided into a group of spatial units and each spatial unit in the group of spatial units is tested to determine which decals intersect the spatial unit. To do so, an initial list of decals associated with a given game space is tested. Once a subset of decals for a given spatial unit is identified, that spatial unit is subdivided further into smaller spatial units. The smaller spatial units are tested again, however, instead of using the initial list of decals, only the smaller subset of decals that was identified is used. The iterative process of subdividing the spatial units into smaller and smaller spatial units and testing each spatial unit continues until a given (higher) resolution is reached for the game space.

A server in the cloud environment receives a photo of a food item fed to a virtual character in an augmented reality environment in the gamified application executing on a user device, invokes the custom machine learning model to generate classification information for the photo, sends the classification information to the user device for verification by a user, and stores the verified information to the data store used for periodically training the machine learning model.
