Abstract: A water stop mounting structure of a bolt to a plate-like metal member where a caulking bolt is used in which a screwless portion between an upper end of a male screw of the caulking bolt and a bearing surface of a head portion of the bolt thicker than an effective diameter of the male screw. Inserting this caulking bolt into the pilot hole of the plate-like metal member and caulking, metal of a circumferential edge portion of the pilot hole is plastically deformed toward the screwless portion to be brought in close contact with the screwless portion, and water is stopped. Applying sealant to a bearing surface of the caulking bolt produces a structure in which the sealant flows between the circumferential edge portion of the pilot hole of the plate-like metal member and the bolt at the time of being press-fitted and water is stopped.

Abstract: A strain wave gearing is provided with: a rigid internally toothed gear; a flexible externally toothed gear that is arranged coaxially on the inside of the internally toothed gear; and a wave generator that is arranged coaxially on the inside of the externally toothed gear, and, on the inside of the externally toothed gear, in addition to the wave generator, a brake mechanism that constrains or prevents the rotation of the wave generator is installed. Since the empty space on the inside of the external gear is used as a space for installing the brake mechanism, the strain wave gearing with a brake can be realized without increasing the axial length thereof. Accordingly, by using the strain wave gearing, an axially short, flat actuator with a brake can be realized.
