Abstract: Devices and their uses for medical imaging in particular intra-operative imaging of tissue of a patient's body. The device comprises the illumination unit, the imaging unit, the processing unit and the display unit. The imaging unit captures fluorescent images (I_fluo) and live images (I_live) of the same scenery. In the processing unit, the fluorescent images (I_fluo) are processed by using the detected motion between the tissue and the imaging unit based on the detected motion. The filtered fluorescent images (I_filt) are non-linearly mapped into the live images (I_live) in order to improve the visibility of fluorophores in the tissue resulting in an overlay image (I_over) that comprises details of the live images (I_live) on the one hand and details of the fluorescent images (I_fluo) on the other hand.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automatic steering of a blind introducer based on images from an independent camera (e.g., a camera of a video laryngoscope) are disclosed. A real time image of a video laryngoscope may be analyzed by a trained ML model to output a classification for the image. The classification may be associated with steering instructions for an introducer. The steering instructions may be provided to the introducer to cause steering of a distal end of the introducer in real time. The trained ML model may be generated by AI or ML training algorithms, based on multiple sets of multiple still-shot training images associated with a finite quantity of classifications.

Abstract: A line-field Fourier-domain optical coherence tomography, OCT, imaging system, comprising: a curved mirror, and a scanning element at a first focus of the mirror which scans, via the mirror, a line of light across an object at a second focus of the mirror, and receives, via the mirror, light scattered by the object and aberrated by the mirror to form an aberrated line of light; a photodetector array; an interferometer which projects an interference line of light resulting from an interference between a reference light and the aberrated line of light onto the photodetector array. The OCT imaging system generates OCT data based on the interference line of light detected by the photodetector array, and corrects the OCT data using phase information in the OCT data such that the corrected OCT data has less optical aberration than the OCT data.

Abstract: Various embodiments herein provide methods to obtain corneoscleral surface profiles from optical coherence tomography (OCT) data and/or another three-dimensional (3D) volumetric scan of the eye. The OCT data may be obtained using radial scans. The limbal junction may be estimated from the radial profiles of the central moments of OCT axial scans. The external topographic limbus may be located using curve fitting of a scleral topography map and/or corneal topography map. Elevation profiles and topographic maps of the anterior eye, referenced to the best-fit topographic limbal circle and its associated plane and central axis, are constructed. The reference coordinate allows the generation of maps and radial profiles for surface elevation, axial radius, and tangential radius. Using ellipsoidal fitting, the corneal height, corneal principal meridians and associated radii of curvature, and scleral principal meridians and associated radii of curvature, are calculated.
