  • Publication number: 20240360850
Abstract: A load sense hydraulic system includes pressure sensors that provide feedback to an electronic controller to monitor a pressure margin between a pump supply pressure and an actuator meter-in load pressure. Pre-collapse and collapse of the pressure margin (the collapse indicating a deadhead or stall condition of the actuator), can be tracked by the electronic controller to establish a normal operating pressure margin. The established normal operating pressure margin can be assessed by the controller against a current, actual pressure margin based on feedback from the pressure sensors. A pre-determined threshold variation by the actual pressure margin from the normal operating pressure margin provides an indication of deadhead or stall condition to the controller. The controller may then responsively make modifications to the load sense hydraulic system to remedy the deadhead/stall condition.

Abstract: Vibration damper having an adjustable damping valve device comprising an actuator having a magnetic coil that applies a magnetic actuation force to an axially movable valve armature within a sleeve-like fixed return member that includes a conductive portion and an insulating portion. The return member cooperates with a pole disk that conducts a magnetic flux of the magnetic coil and on which an axial transfer of the magnetic flux for the actuating movement of the valve armature takes place. The insulating portion of the return member is adjoined in the direction of the pole disk by a second conductive portion and the valve armature axially overlaps the second conductive portion depending on the stroke.

Abstract: A shock absorbing device may include a housing, a piston, and membrane. The housing may define space. The piston may move within the space to adjust a pressure of a gas in a main spring chamber to form a gas spring. The piston and the housing may partially define the main spring chamber within the space. The membrane may be positioned in the space. The housing and the membrane may define a secondary spring chamber within the space. The membrane may partially define the main spring chamber and may be sufficiently elastic such that when the piston adjusts the pressure of the gas in the main spring chamber, a force applied on the membrane by the gas in the main spring chamber changes and causes the membrane to selectively deform to adjust a pressure of gas in the secondary spring chamber to control a spring rate of the gas spring.

Abstract: An improvement to continuously variable transmissions whereby power is transmitted from a driver axle to a driven axle through a variable transmission mechanism. A plurality of unidirectional sprocket wheels positioned radially around a driver axle within a set of frustoconical members is provided so that the distance from the driver axle can be adjusted. The unidirectional sprocket wheels are connected by a chain to a similar driven axle portion. This low vibration, high torque capable transmission is superior to variable transmissions that rely on friction-based power transmissions that can slip during operation.
