Abstract: Disclosed is a system of non-invasive optical rotation angle sensing polarimeter for aqueous glucose concentration measurement. A linear polarization angle is set at 45° along propagation axis, the polarized beam transmitting aqueous humor and the polarized beam splitter whose polarization directions are orthogonal at 0° and 90° of rotation in the directions of propagation axes; difference of intensities of the orthogonal polarization components is measured in a balanced detector configuration able to obtain Stokes vector component S1 which relates to the optical rotation angle and aqueous glucose concentration under common noise rejection mode, the sum of the intensities to normalize S1 enables reduction of the optical intensity fluctuation noise too.

Abstract: A blood detection method and a blood detection device are disclosed. When a count number of platelet in a blood sample is less than a predetermined value, a detection solution of the blood sample is prepared. A cell statistical amount of the detection solution of the blood sample is increased to obtain the platelet detection result. The cell statistics amount of the detection solution of the blood sample may be increased in an impedance detection area to perform PLT-I detection, or in an RET detection area; or performing both of RET detection and PLT-O detection simultaneously. Thus, the accuracy of platelet detection can be improved when the number of platelets in the blood sample is low.

The communicator couples to a sleep monitoring device (S102) and receives sleep data for the first user from the sleep monitoring device (S103). The processor determines, from the sleep data, that a sleep metric exceeds a threshold (S104). The processor generates a notification indicating that the sleep metric exceeds the threshold (S105). The processor controls the communicator to transmit the notification to a second user electronic device associated with a second user (S106). The method enables the sharing of notifications from a first user to a second user based on a sleep metric derived from the sleep data.

Abstract: A system for detecting a neurological state of a brain of a patient is disclosed. The system comprises one or more recording arrays, a database, and a processor. The recording arrays comprise a plurality of recording electrodes having a diameter of less than about 1 mm and spaced by less than about 1 mm, and are configured to be minimally invasively inserted to the brain to record electrical signals from a target recording site. The database stores electrophysiological data relating to known electrophysiological signatures associated with neurological states. The processor is configured to receive recorded signals from the recording arrays, access the electrophysiological data from the database, identify electrophysiological signatures in the recorded signals based on the electrophysiological data, and determine the neurological state of the brain based on the identified electrophysiological signatures.
