Abstract: A diaper assembly having a deployable containment bag, with the assembly including a diaper member and a containment bag which is sized to be able to enclose the diaper member, with the containment bag having removably stored in the diaper member. The diaper member is configured to allow the containment bag to be both stored therein and selectively removed therefrom without affecting the diaper member's ability to absorb or contain the waste of the wearer. Once the containment bag is removed from the diaper member, it can be opened and thereafter allow the diaper member to be placed inside it. The containment bag can then be sealed closed. In this regard, the containment be that provides for an integrated containment system which enables a wet and/or soiled diaper to be sealed in an airtight space to make disposal more convenient and sanitary.

An exudate capture zone can be located within the crotch region of the absorbent body. The exudate capture zone can have a primary compressed element which has a longitudinal direction length greater than a transverse direction width. The primary compressed element within the exudate capture zone can be encircled by a plurality of primary compressed points. Each of the encircled primary compressed element and the encircling primary compressed points can provide an initial pathway for body exudates to travel from the body facing surface of the absorbent body and into other regions of the absorbent body in both the longitudinal direction and transverse direction of the absorbent body.

The subject technology improves the safety of wheelchair access devices, such as wheelchair lifts and ramps, in traditional wheelchair accessible vehicles during ingress and egress of a passenger by alerting a vehicle operator or caretaker of unsafe angles and conditions. The subject technology may also be useful in autonomous vehicles (AV) for enabling automatic operation of a wheelchair access device, such as a ramp or lift, and facilitate the safe loading and unloading of a passenger seated in a wheelchair.
