Abstract: A method of treating meat includes the steps of applying hemoglobin to the meat and pressure treating the meat by application of pressure to the meat at sufficiently high pressure and for a duration of time sufficient to rupture the cell walls of at least some microorganisms present in the meat. The method preserves the natural color of the meat, while eliminating pathogens and bacteria in the meat.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of food science and engineering, and specifically to a method for improving the stability of anthocyanins. In the method, a starch and an anthocyanin are mixed in an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, treated at a certain high hydrostatic pressure condition to enable the starch to be gelatinized and to interact with the anthocyanin, and then stored at a certain temperature, so that interaction between the anthocyanin and the starch is further enhanced to form a complex. The method can improve the stability of anthocyanins, which helps to improve the quality of products and extend the shelf life of products.

Here, at least a portion of the wick and at least a portion of the ultrasonic vibrator may be implemented to have a flat shape and may be disposed to come in close contact with each other. In this way, a vaporization area may be maximized, and vapor production may be significantly enhanced.

A protective plate may include a forefoot plate having a ball, middle and lateral section that are configured to move and flex to enable a better feel on uneven terrain. A protective plate may extend from the forefoot to the heel and include a midfoot protective plate and a heel protective plate. Sections of the protective plate are hinged or separated to allow for a greater degree of independent movement of the three main groups of muscles and bones in the forefoot in response to walking, hiking and running on various terrain. A separate insole is described that incorporates the forefoot protection plate and that can be inserted into and removed from footwear in order to provide additional protection as needed. A shoe including outer-sole, midsole and upper, are also described having a flexible protective plate.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to golf shoes having a lace tightening system. The shoe includes an upper, midsole, and outsole. The upper includes various lace guides that are separated by gaps. The lace is threaded through these guides and the lace can be tightened or loosened by a rotary dial mounted on the shoe. The lace tightening system can be used to close the instep region around the foot to secure the shoe and provide a comfortable fit. The midsole provides cushioning to the shoe. The outsole preferably contains multiple traction members to provide good stability and ground contact. The shoes of this invention help provide the golfer with stability and balance.

The eyelet system includes a base structure and a plurality of looped strand portions coupled to the base structure. The necklace manager can compare sensed user conditions from the interactive necklace sensors to predefined user condition templates to determine a match. The matching predefined user condition template can be mapped to a user intent. The necklace manager can, in response to mapping the sensed user conditions to the user intent, transmit a message to a recipient device that is based on the mapped user intent and a user identifier. In some implementations, the recipient device can be an other interactive necklace that performs a mapped interactive necklace action in response to the received message. For example, a wearer of the recipient interactive necklace can perceive sentiments, emotions, and/or reactions from a user wearing the originating interactive necklace by perceiving interactive necklace actions triggered by the received message.
