Abstract: A self-service checkout system has a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing executable instructions. The executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: receiving a message from a vision system that includes a current list of identified items on a tray positioned adjacent to the vision system for a current transaction, comparing the current list of identified items to a previous list of identified items, and adding any items on the current list that are not on the previous list to a transaction list for a current transaction, determining that the current transaction is complete when the current list of identified items has no items, enabling a customer to review the transaction list and remove any duplicate entries, and completing the current transaction.

Abstract: A device may determine one or more preference factors associated with a user moving within a geographical area to obtain a first item and a second item. The device may determine one or more urgency factors associated with obtaining the first item and the second item. The device may select first candidate locations for the first item, and second candidate locations for the second item. The device may analyze path finding factors that include a predicted location of the user at a target date and time set for obtaining the first item and the second item, the one or more urgency factors, the one or more preference factors, and the one or more first candidate locations and the one or more second candidate locations. The device may determine, based on analyzing the path finding factors, a path for the user to obtain the first item then the second item.

Abstract: An online concierge system allows a customer to search items offered by a retailer by providing a set of items to the customer based on a search query. To account for varying availability of items at the retailer, the online concierge system modifies rankings in the set of items having less than a threshold predicted availability at the retailer. This reduces a likelihood selection of an item likely to be unavailable at the retailer. To maintain customer confidence in the items selected based on the search results by maintaining visibility of items relevant to the search query, the online concierge system determines how much an item is modified within the set based on search query attributes, item attributes, or customer characteristics. This allows different items to be adjusted different amounts in a set based on the item, as well as the search query for which the item was selected.

Abstract: This technology generally relates to a method for leveraging a measure of bidding model uncertainty to directly improve automatic bidding. The methods may include measuring the inherent uncertainty of automatic bidding models using techniques, such as quantile regression. Further, the measure of bidding model uncertainty may be incorporated into bid formulas to inform the generated bids for an auction. The method may be further formulated to modify the bids to be more conservative when the bidding model uncertainty is higher. Once the uncertainty level of the bidding model is reduced to a more stable level, the bidding method will resume generating bids with more efficiency.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a credit integration system that efficiently and seamlessly embeds credit-based systems into non-credit-based systems. For instance, the credit integration system provides an operational framework that enables functions and features of a credit-based system to be embedded into the existing workflow of non-credit-based systems. In addition to technical benefits, such as reducing redundant system portions by creatively integrating portions of a credit-based system into different existing non-credit-based systems, the credit integration system allows users to capture benefits from the credit-based system without changing their current behaviors with their existing non-credit-based systems. For example, the credit integration system allows users to build a credit history by performing non-credit transactions using their payment card tied to a non-credit-based system.

Abstract: A platform may collect financial information from multiple sources, parse the collected information and store it in a database using a single unified representation. The representation may support various financial “actions”, such as trading (buying and selling an asset), debt (borrowing and paying back an asset), minting (mining or receiving an airdropped asset), fee payment (for example trading fees or transaction fees), deposit and withdrawal of an asset to/form an account, and the like. The platform may assign a price to each asset involved in each transaction and generate atomic “operations” for each action, picked from a predetermined, fixed and small set of financial primitives. The platform may then match the operations for each asset. The matching may be performed in a way that produces a desirable outcome for the subscriber, for example minimizing taxable income.

Abstract: Provided in the present invention is a passenger-vehicle matching method for an online ride sharing. In the present invention, firstly, matching is performed on passengers by using an integer linear programming algorithm, so as to form a passenger combination scheme involving the optimal total travel time of the passengers; and secondly, in the present invention, virtual passenger combinations or virtual vehicles are supplemented, such that the number of passenger combinations is the same as the number of vehicles, and the passenger combinations are matched with the vehicles by using the integer linear programming algorithm again, so as to obtain a passenger-vehicle matching scheme involving the optimal total travel time. The present invention optimizes the passenger-vehicle matching process in online ride-hailing shared travel, enhancing user experience and efficiency, while also promoting a green traffic mode that significantly reduces urban traffic pressure and pollution.
