The executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: receiving a message from a vision system that includes a current list of identified items on a tray positioned adjacent to the vision system for a current transaction, comparing the current list of identified items to a previous list of identified items, and adding any items on the current list that are not on the previous list to a transaction list for a current transaction, determining that the current transaction is complete when the current list of identified items has no items, enabling a customer to review the transaction list and remove any duplicate entries, and completing the current transaction.

Abstract: An online concierge system allows a customer to search items offered by a retailer by providing a set of items to the customer based on a search query. To account for varying availability of items at the retailer, the online concierge system modifies rankings in the set of items having less than a threshold predicted availability at the retailer. This reduces a likelihood selection of an item likely to be unavailable at the retailer. To maintain customer confidence in the items selected based on the search results by maintaining visibility of items relevant to the search query, the online concierge system determines how much an item is modified within the set based on search query attributes, item attributes, or customer characteristics. This allows different items to be adjusted different amounts in a set based on the item, as well as the search query for which the item was selected.

Abstract: This technology generally relates to a method for leveraging a measure of bidding model uncertainty to directly improve automatic bidding. The methods may include measuring the inherent uncertainty of automatic bidding models using techniques, such as quantile regression. Further, the measure of bidding model uncertainty may be incorporated into bid formulas to inform the generated bids for an auction. The method may be further formulated to modify the bids to be more conservative when the bidding model uncertainty is higher. Once the uncertainty level of the bidding model is reduced to a more stable level, the bidding method will resume generating bids with more efficiency.

For instance, the credit integration system provides an operational framework that enables functions and features of a credit-based system to be embedded into the existing workflow of non-credit-based systems. In addition to technical benefits, such as reducing redundant system portions by creatively integrating portions of a credit-based system into different existing non-credit-based systems, the credit integration system allows users to capture benefits from the credit-based system without changing their current behaviors with their existing non-credit-based systems. The price, user, and asset metadata are combined with the digest, thereby generating a verifiable transaction initiation object. An approval to execute the initiation object is sent to the transaction server without reference to the pricing server.
