Abstract: A method of installing a wig on the head of a wearer, the wig having a top portion that defines an opening corresponding to the wearer's part, the top portion being composed of a fabric and having wig hairs attached to the top portion. Wig clips attach the wig to the wearer's natural hair on the opposing sides of the wearer's part so that the wearer's natural part is exposed. The wearer's natural hair is not disposed over the fabric at the edges of the opening. Alternatively, a leave-out of the wearers natural hair does not cover the wig hair adjacent to the edges of the opening. The wig hair adjacent to the edges of the opening may be tangled or the installer may tease the wig hairs adjacent to the edges of the opening. The invention is also a wig for application of the method.

Abstract: Described herein is a head covering with integrated hair that is constructed to benefit the physical and emotional wellbeing of a person with hair loss due to, for example, chemotherapy. In one embodiment, the head covering includes a cap, a sweatband attached to the cap constructed and arranged to attach a hair piece to the cap, a crown portion forming a portion of the cap and configured to receive an attachment, and a brow pocket formed by the sweatband.

Abstract: A method and system for removably attaching headwear to a hood associated with an article of clothing separate and distinct from the headwear. The method provides for joining a first set of complementary fasteners to a headwear brim of the headwear and joining a second set of complementary fasteners to a hood brim of the hood, whereby when the hood is drawn over a head of a wearer wearing the headwear the first and second sets of complementary fasteners align so as to form an engagement sufficient to prevent separation of the headwear and the hood under gusts of wind in excess of twenty miles per hour.

Abstract: A foldable helmet is useful for many activities. First and second headband members operably connect to an arch so as to move below the arch with shell members in a storage configuration or extend outwardly relative to the arch in a ready to use configuration. For many embodiments, the first and second headband members rotate about pivots at the arch at the front and back and the shell members are interconnected so as to move with the movement of the first and second headband members. Cushion members may be adjacent to the shell portions. A case having a bore therethrough to be received on a frame member of a vehicle can be combined with the foldable helmet for some embodiments.

Abstract: The invention presents a rolled inner seam strap (RIS) design for open-toe footwear, like flip-flops, to address foot ulcers caused by straps. Existing designs overlook the impact of strap-induced pressure on the dorsal foot, leaving a research gap. The RIS design aims to minimize pressure and friction on the dorsal foot, particularly at the toehold area where ulcers may occur. By increasing contact area with the skin and reducing strap contact, it redistributes pressure, preventing tissue damage. A study comparing RIS to traditional straps showed significantly lower dorsal foot pressure with RIS. The RIS design offers a practical and cost-effective solution to reduce strap-induced pressure and prevent foot ulcers, particularly in resource-limited settings with limited foot care.

The paramagnets increase the magnetic flux through the magnetic metal surface, to provide flexibility, grip, and traction on magnetic metal surfaces, and anchors the magnets inside the sole. The resilient material of the sole allows contact and adhesion with the magnetic metal surface, holds all the interior elements of the sole in place, and adheres to the vamp. A magnetizable removable device can also be used to protect the magnetic sole when walking on the ground or surfaces that do not require magnetic grip.
