Abstract: Techniques for improved searching and querying in computer-based reasoning systems are discussed and include receiving multiple new multidimensional data element to store in a computer-based reasoning data model; determining a feature bucket for each feature of each data element and storing a reference identifier in the feature bucket(s). A query on the computer-based reasoning system includes input data element (e.g., an actual data element, or a set of restrictions on features). For each feature in the input data element, feature buckets are determined, candidate results are determined based on whether cases have related feature buckets, and the results are determined based at least in part on the candidate results. In some embodiments, control of controllable systems may be caused based on the results.

Abstract: A simulation tool executing a simulation model and a generating an automated dialog associated therewith. The automated dialog comprises a bot configured for interacting with a user, wherein the dialog is displayed to the user. The bot is integrated with a set of rules that are referenced as a function of input received from the user for furthering the dialog and making a recommendation about the process simulation. In certain embodiments, the simulation tool is configured to select a thermodynamic method for use in a process simulation as a function of the set of rules and the user input.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for constructing a target prediction model in a multicenter small sample scenario and a prediction method. In combination with the idea of transfer learning, a training set of a new node is predicted by directly using knowledge of a trained node, and a prediction error sample is used to reflect a difference between the new node and the trained node. The difference is used as supplementary knowledge. Model knowledge of the new node is quickly acquired, to avoid training of a new node from scratch each time. Finally, parallel integration of incremental subclassifiers is implemented by using a ridge regression method, so that the deployment time and costs are greatly reduced. The generalization of models is ensured through sharing of historical knowledge and a knowledge discarding mechanism, good classification effect can also be achieved for a node with a small sample size.

Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically predicting the probability of regulatory compliance approval based on data contained in a data structure. A data structure can be configured to include data collated and collected from one or more regulators (e.g., regulatory agencies) and one or more value chain participants. Such data is inclusive of data indicative of actual approval-request results of applications for regulatory approval by one or more regulators and variable weights assigned to different data elements. A prediction can be then made as to the probability that an application for regulatory approval by a value chain participant will be approved by a regulator based on the data collated and collected and contained in the data structure. This approach predicts the probability that an application for regulatory approval by a value chain participant will be approved and also predicts what is missing for a regulatory approval application.

Abstract: Embodiments provide methods and systems for controlling payment transactions in a payment card using a companion payment application installed on a user device. The payment application and the payment card may be provided by an issuer server. Using the payment application, the number of transactions allowed on the payment card or an amount limit is set for the payment card. The payment application is used to set, reset, change the value of a counter in the card, which determines the number of allowed transactions. When the user attempts to make a transaction at a POS terminal, the payment card reads the value of counter, and if the value is not equal to a threshold value, the payment card exchanges data with the POS terminal and updates the value of the counter. The payment card is precluded from transaction when value of the counter is equal to threshold value.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a near-field communication card may be provided with an NFC-field-strength visualization display and a transparent window through which the NFC-field-strength visualization display is visible. In some embodiments, a token (e.g., the NFC card) may be constructed to include an electromagnetic field visualization display, a radiofrequency communication antenna, and a first transparent region having a transparent surface through which the electromagnetic field visualization display is visible. In some embodiments, a first layer of a token may be provided, where the first layer includes an electromagnetic field visualization display and a radiofrequency communication antenna. A second layer of the token may be provided, where the second layer includes a first transparent region. The first and second layers may be bonded such that the electromagnetic field visualization display of the first layer is visible through the first transparent region of the second layer.
