In a first such device, one or more of the detection polarizer and a source polarizer is rotatable so as to allow the angle between their polarizations to be varied. An area of tissue can be imaged as the angle is varied. Another device has multiple fixed source polarizers of different polarization orientations, each source polarizer polarizing the light emitted by a corresponding group of light sources which can be selectively activated, thereby enabling the device to illuminate an area of tissue with polarized light of different orientations relative to the orientation of the detection polarizer.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2024Publication date: June 12, 2025Applicant: Canfield Scientific, IncorporatedInventor: Sachin V. Publication number: 20250185920Abstract: The invention generally relates to medical imaging systems that instantly and/or automatically detect borders. Embodiments of the invention provide an imaging system that automatically detects a border at a location within a vessel in response only to navigational input moving the image to that location. In some embodiments, systems and methods of the invention operate such that when a doctor moves an imaging catheter to a new location with in tissue, the system essentially instantly finds, and optionally displays, the border(s), calculates an occlusion, or both.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 18, 2025Publication date: June 12, 2025Inventors: AJ CHELINE, Fergus MERRITT, Asher COHEN, Elizabeth BEGIN, Nathaniel J. Publication number: 20250185922Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring heart failure (HF) status in a patient are discussed. An exemplary system includes a gait analyzer circuit than can receive gait or balance information, and generate a gait feature such as gait speed or a gait pattern. The system includes a HF detector circuit that can detect patient HF status, or to predict patient risk of a future worsening heart failure (WHF) event, using the gait feature. In some examples, the system may trigger sensing physiologic information according to the detected gait, and detect patient HF status using the sensed physiologic information. The system can initiate or adjust a heart failure therapy according to the HF status or the WHF risk.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2025Publication date: June 12, 2025Inventors: Gezheng Wen, Bin Mi, Qi An, Pramodsingh Hirasingh Thakur

Publication number: 20250185925Abstract: A multi-sensor remote patient monitoring platform combines multiple technologies on a patient's own device to dramatically reduce the number of devices a patient needs while also reducing device distribution logistics on health care providers. Continuous temperature monitors can be used to collect frequent temperature data over large periods of time. Additionally, a rPPG device can obtain at least one vital sign data by a remote photoplethysmogram (rPPG) comprising a plethysmogram that is optically obtained via a camera by detection of blood volume changes in the microvascular bed of tissue of the patient. The temperature data and vital sign data can be input into a remote server-side computer system that can analyze the received data for indication of a fever, and provide an alert to the patient or a clinician when the result of the analysis indicates the fever. Such alerts can be clinically beneficial for disease states in which fever can be fatal, particularly for those fevers having fast onset.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2024Publication date: June 12, 2025Inventors: John GANNON, Frank FEDDRIX, Matthew REAM, Sashi KOLLI, Brad HELFMAN, Jon EAGER
