  • Publication number: 20140196617
Abstract: A novel round baler debris catcher is provided. The round baler debris catcher comprises a pair of panels that are attached in a rigid, angled relation to each other and are adapted to span the gap between a round baler's pickup head and rear axle. The present round baler debris catcher is flexibly attached to the rear axle of the round baler such that it can accommodate the vertical movement of the round baler when the round baler is in use. By spanning the gap between the pickup head and the rear axle, the present invention prevents leaves and fines from falling therethrough and ensures that they will be incorporated into the bales generated by the round baler.

  • Publication number: 20100064907
Abstract: The invention provides a die changing method of a press machine which can drastically shorten a time required for changing the die. In a press machine (a servo driving type press machine) capable of positioning a slide at an arbitrary position by controlling a servo motor, a time required for moving the slide is shortened by moving the slide in a range necessary for changing the die. Further, it is possible to omit an operation of a slide adjusting mechanism by controlling the servo motor so as to position and control the slide without operating the slide adjusting mechanism, and moving the slide at a height suitable for changing the die, thereby quickening a die changing work.

  • Patent number: 6539853
Abstract: A press that includes a push rod (12) that can be pushed downward to cut and mold miniature components, has a small size and a minimum number of components, and can be easily and precisely controlled. The push rod has a largely upwardly-facing shoulder (140) that lies in a chamber that can receive pressured hydraulic fluid to push down the push rod. A piezoelectric actuator, or piezoactor (18), moves a piston (20) that lies in a pressure cylinder. One end of the pressure cylinder holds hydraulic fluid (130), and when the piezoactor pushes the piston it pressurizes the hydraulic fluid therein. Pressured hydraulic fluid in the pressure cylinder flows through a passage (23) to the rod chamber to press down the push rod. The cross-sectional area of the pressure cylinder is many times greater than the cross-sectional area of the push rod shoulder so slight movement of the piezoactor is magnified many times by the hydraulic fluid to move the push rod with a long stroke.

Abstract: A link type transfer press is driven by continuously dwelling the slide in the vicinity of the top dead center thereof with the use of a link mechanism. With this arrangement, a motion index angle of a feeder can be taken by a large degree even though the time required for one cycle of the slide is shortened, and accordingly, the transfer time of the feeder can be set to be substantially longer so that the feed can be fed without interference with the slide. Thus, the entire pressing time can be reduced, thereby enhancing the productivity.

  • Patent number: 6186061
Abstract: A plurality of hydrostatic bearing pads are each integrally formed in a respective pin or journal member being used within a mechanical press machine. The hydrostatic bearing pads are supplied with pressurized fluid sufficient to create a combined hydrostatic and hydrodynamic effect between the opposed bearing surfaces of the pin and an associated bushing. The hydrostatic bearing pads are used in conjunction with rotational and oscillating bearings in which relatively little rotation, oscillation, or slow rotational speeds exist or where it is desired to minimize the effects of hydrodynamic action which creates bearing “lift off” on journal bearings. These types of bearings are particularly associated with crankshaft and connection journal bearings, connection pins, and pivot pins used by a rocker-type coupling assembly that couples a weight assembly to the press machine piston or slide assembly or drive assembly.

  • Patent number: 5062357
Abstract: The press has a pneumatically operated piston and cylinder mounted beneath a work plate, and linked to an upper press plate by rods extending through the work plate to provide compression in a die-set area defined between the upper press plate and the work plate. The pneumatically operated piston and cylinder are encased within an enclosed base which is insulated. The movable cylinder acts against springs also mounted within the base which cause the press plate to rebound after a pneumatically operated downstroke.

  • Patent number: 5057171
Abstract: A pressure chamber apparatus comprises a pressure chamber having an opening at one end and a plug member with a self locking sealing design telescopically mounted in the chamber for sliding movement between a retracted position in which it is inside the chamber and an extended position in which it projects at least partially out of the chamber opening. The plug member has a transverse through slot for containing one or more workpieces to be pressurized, and substantially fills the pressure chamber in the retracted position. The slot in the plug member and the pressure chamber surrounding the plug member are filled with liquid, and connected to a pressure booster for pressurizing the liquid to a selected level.

  • Patent number: 5024150
Abstract: To reduce vibrations occurring in sets of rolls that are immediately successive along the direction of travel of a web conducted through the nips formed between the roll sets, a process, especially for use in double calendars used to treat paper webs, is disclosed in which the natural frequency of one set of rolls is altered with respect to the natural frequency of the other set of rolls. In this manner, randomly occurring vibrations in the first set of rolls do not produce a resonance excitation of the second set of rolls. A roll apparatus having reduced vibratory tendencies also is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4706532
Abstract: The cutting apparatus with rules comprises a cutting form placed in an upper panel support (5) and a lower panel. The panel support (5) is constructed in a fashion enabling it to be withdrawn from the apparatus for purposes of replacing it. The replacement cutting form, supported in another panel support (5) previously prepared, is placed on the lower guides (19) of an adjustment table (14). The adjustment table (14) is brought up against the guides (4) which support the panel support (5) to be replaced in the machine. The latter is withdrawn from the machine so as to come to rest on the upper guides (19) of the adjustment table (14). This pivots by 180.degree. and the replacement cutting form is pushed onto the guides 4 situated in the cutting station.
