Patent number: 8596196Abstract: An adjustment wheel assembly of an adjustable stamp, mounted on an adjustment wheel unit of the adjustable stamp, has a printing type cover combined with a torsion spring and pivotally mounted on the adjustable wheel unit, and a fastener mounted on the adjustment wheel unit. The printing type cover has a tab and a snap part formed on another side of the printing type cover to engage the fastener and disengage the fastener when a pressing part of the fastener is pressed. The torsion spring enables the printing type cover to flip up. The printing type cover is closed and fixed by pressing down the tab formed on an edge portion of the printing type cover. Accordingly, users' fingers can be prevented from being stained upon flipping up and closing the printing type cover.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 2011Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Sun Same Enterprises Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hsu-Shen Shih

Patent number: 7624125Abstract: Machine-assisted methods and apparatus are described for allowing individual users to develop and organize respective activity descriptions and supporting journal items according to their respective preferences. Cross-referencing mappings may be created between activity descriptions and journal items in order to find, filter and organize disparate data. Cross-referencing mappings may also be created between the developed activity descriptions of different users so they can better understand each others perspectives and possibly overlapping goals. Different users' activity descriptions can be presented to a user even while the user may be disconnected from communication networks. Hierarchical relationships between activity descriptions may be provided. Machine-assisted means may be provided for creating work-sharing, work-delegating and/or informational sharing agreements between different users.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2007Date of Patent: November 24, 2009Inventor: Jason B. Patent number: 5775216Abstract: A printing machine includes, like a gold blocking press, a printing plate mobile relative to an object support to apply to an object to be printed a foil appropriate to the required printing. The printing plate is curved when in contact with a support block mounted so that it can rock on an applicator head mobile transversely to the object support. Applications of the printing machine include printing on flat objects.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1996Date of Patent: July 7, 1998Assignee: Societe d'Exploitation Des Machines DubuitInventor: Pierre Rouleau

Patent number: 5590595Abstract: A method and apparatus for a hot stamp imprinter which imprints ink from an inked print ribbon onto a substrate. The imprinter includes multiple printhead assemblies, with one or more heater elements, mounted on a frame. An actuatable backup assembly, also mounted on the frame, corresponds to each printhead assembly, wherein the backup assemblies are actuatable in series or parallel, to move, from a rest position, toward the printhead assembly, to an imprint position, to transfer ink from the print ribbon onto the substrate. A temperature probe disposed in each printhead is coupled to the control unit, which individually and sequentially energizes the heater elements of the respective printheads so that only one printhead assembly is energized at any one time. A spring biased dancer assembly having a idler roller maintains a tension on the inked print ribbon as the inked print ribbon is transferred from a supply reel to a rewind reel.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 1995Date of Patent: January 7, 1997Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.Inventors: James A. Patent number: 4351234Abstract: A principal object of the invention is to provide an improved marking apparatus capable of clearly marking desired information at the same relative location on a succession of rapidly-moving, heat-sensitive articles. Prior art marking devices employing heated printing heads presented problems when employed to mark in this manner. These problems became accute where the printing extended over any significant distance in the direction of travel. The apparatus, shown generally as 10 in FIG. 1 is of the type comprising an electrically-heated marking head 12, a backup means 14 positioned opposite the marking head, and means 16 for reciprocating the marking head between a withdrawn position and a marking position adjacent to said backup means. A specific improvement according to the invention is the imparting elliptical motion of the printing head which enables contact times sufficient for clear marking at linear rates of greater than 1500 inches per minute.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1980Date of Patent: September 28, 1982Assignee: General Foods CorporationInventors: James E. Patent number: 4160410Abstract: An imprint marking device utilizing transfer tape moved from a tape supply reel to a take-up reel across an imprint station with a moving marker head having raised indicia movable against the tape to press the tape against an article to be marked. A tape drive system includes a drive roller and an opposed idler roller. Both the tape drive system and the marker head are actuated by a single power cylinder which has power rods extending from opposite ends connected to a single common internal piston, one of the rods operating the marker head and the other of the rods operating the tape drive system.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1977Date of Patent: July 10, 1979Assignee: Norwood Marking & Equipment Co.Inventor: Robert Fichter

Patent number: 4058055Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed which is particularly designed for applying transfers or appliques comprised of thermosetting inks to garments such as T-shirts and sweat shirts. The apparatus includes an upper and lower platen for applying heat and pressure. The upper platen includes heating elements and a temperature control mechanism to heat it to a particular desired temperature. The apparatus is designed so that the pressure between the two platens is uniform and of the proper magnitude. The apparatus is also designed so that when the garment and transfer have been subjected to the appropriate amount of pressure and heat for a desired amount of time, the platens automatically disengage. Upon disengaging, a timer which is included in the apparatus automatically resets itself to the originally selected time period.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1975Date of Patent: November 15, 1977Inventor: Leon L.
