  • Patent number: 10289618
Abstract: Systems and methods offer a search system with third-party provided search applications that are triggered in response to specified queries and run at the search system. For example, a method may include determining that a query triggers a third party search application hosted at the search system, executing the third party search application at the search system using computer-instructions obtained from the third party to generate and format a third-party formatted answer for the query, and providing the third-party formatted answer as a search result for the query. The third party may provide the query template, parameter attributes, if any, and the third party formatted answer. The third party search application is stored at the search system and may include the query template, a data store, the parameter attributes, and computer-instructions for accessing the data store using the parameter.

Abstract: Systems and methods offer a search system with third-party provided search applications that are triggered in response to specified queries and run at the search system. For example, a method may include determining that a query triggers a third party search application hosted at the search system, extracting a parameter from the query based on a query template, executing the third party search application with the parameter in a sandboxed manner at the search system to generate a third-party formatted answer for the query, and providing the third-party formatted answer as a search result for the query. The third party may provide the query template, parameter attributes, and the third party formatted answer. The third party search application may be stored at the search system and include the query template, a data store, the parameter attributes, and instructions for accessing the data store using the parameter.

  • Patent number: 7225732
Abstract: In a screen printer for printing paste to the substrate through a pattern hole by abutting a mask plate on the substrate, the end face of a side end portion of the substrate is nipped and held from its both sides by a clamper. A warp correcting portion mounting a warp-correcting member constructed by a plate-shaped resilient metal is arranged in the clamper. When the substrate held to a substrate holding portion of a Z-axis table is clamped, a free end portion of the warp correcting member is abutted on the upper face side of the side end portion of the substrate, and the warp deformation of the substrate is corrected by pressing the free end portion downward. Thus, the warp deformation of the substrate is corrected by a simple and cheap mechanism, and the clamp state can be reliably held.

  • Patent number: 6679165
Abstract: A window adapted to a dater has a screen hole adapted to be defined to correspond to lead numerals of the dater, two positioning seats oppositely formed to be detachable to the dater, and a patterned face formed on a bottom face thereof. The window is able to be detachably connected to the dater so as to allow replacement of the window for another patterned face for the dater.

  • Patent number: 6295528
Abstract: A method and system are provided for performing database queries with geographic inputs that are converted to a direct marketing area prior to performing the query. Direct marketing areas define geographic locations as discrete areas of interest that may be more useful than city limits or a specific geographic location (e.g., latitude/longitude). Direct marketing areas are more useful geographic designations for purposes of advertising and marketing. A geographic input, such as a city and state, or a latitude and longitude are converted to a direct marketing area. The direct marketing area is then substituted for the entered geographic parameter (e.g., city and state or latitude and longitude), and the requested database query is performed.

  • Patent number: 5289768
Abstract: A gripper bar conveyor mechanism for transferring sheets to be printed from one rotating impression cylinder to another in a multiple color rotary offset printer of the type having sets of impression cylinders and corresponding blanket cylinders for rolling contact with the sheets to be printed therebetween. The gripper bar conveyor mechanism includes a transferrable gripper bar activatable for releasably securing sheets to be printed in a fixed orientation with respect to the transferrable gripper bar. The registration projection is affixed to the transferrable gripper bar. A registration pocket is adjustably affixed to each of the impression cylinders for temporarily receiving the registration projection of the gripper bar and thereby holding the gripper bar in a desired position with respect to the impression cylinder. A conveyor band is attached to the gripper bar and is operably connected to the rotary offset press for moving the gripper bar from one impression cylinder to the next.

  • Patent number: 4165687
Abstract: A small-sized printing apparatus which operates at a low noise level and provides good printing quality includes a plurality of printing rings, each having type characters on the peripheral surface thereof. The printing rings are mounted on a shaft which reciprocates for the purpose of bringing a selected character on each of the rings to a printing position. The shaft reciprocates through forward and reverse directions of rotation. An inking roll transfers ink intermittently to the type characters.

  • Patent number: 4133262
Abstract: An endorser for use in document processing apparatus is provided with a matrix wire printer for printing variable information on documents as they are transported at a controlled speed along a transport path forming part of an endorsing station, and with a rotatable ink stamp driven by a controlled speed motor for printing fixed information on the documents in predetermined relationship with the variable information. A rotatably mounted endorser head assembly comprised of a velocity control member and an interrupted curvilinear platen, in addition to the ink stamp, is drivably rotated by the controlled speed motor to initially intercept and decelerate a document entering the endorsing station, and to thereafter print the fixed and variable information on the document. Deceleration of the document is accomplished by the velocity control member of the endorser head assembly in cooperation with a first biased back-up roller.
