Abstract: An object of the present invention is, in an image-forming machine equipped with plural paper feeders that feed paper to a drum unit at different paper feed speeds due to the difference in the shapes of paper traveling routes, to control the image-forming machine so as to select a paper feeder suitable for the condition of printing-speed-priority. A stencil printing machine has three paper feeders; a paper feed table, a first tray, and a second tray. The maximum allowable printing speeds to a drum unit of the three paper feeders: differ from each other in accordance with the difference in the shapes of traveling routes; increase in the order of the paper feed table, the first tray, and then the second tray; and are stored as data. Abstract: A stencil printing apparatus in which the generation of discharge sheet peeling problems and defects such as creasing and tear of the stencil base sheet can be prevented while printing on a coated sheet. When a printing sheet set in a sheet-feed device is indicated by input via a sheet-type input device as a coated sheet, or when a printing sheet set in a sheet-feed device is automatically detected by a sheet-type detection device as a coated sheet, a control device judges on the basis of a detected signal from the base-sheet type detection device whether or not the stencil base sheet type set in the platemaking apparatus is for coated sheet printing, and permits platemaking start if the stencil base sheet is for coated sheet printing and issues a warning without permitting platemaking start if the stencil base sheet is for non-coated sheet printing.

Abstract: In a stencil printing apparatus capable of duplex printing, in which a front surface printing process for printing a front surface image on one surface of a sheet of paper fed by a sheet feeding unit is performed, the sheet is re-fed to sheet re-feeding means, and then a rear surface printing process for printing a rear surface image on the other surface is performed, the positions of the front surface image and rear surface image to be printed on the sheet can be moved together. The stencil printing apparatus comprises: a printing unit having a printing cylinder and pressing means; the sheet feeding unit for feeding the sheet toward the printing unit; and the sheet re-feeding means for temporarily accommodating the sheet after a printed image is formed on the front surface thereof in the printing unit, and then re-feeding the sheet toward the printing unit.

Abstract: A stencil printing apparatus allows printing on coated paper as in ordinary paper (uncoated paper), and can make a contribution to the diversification of printing needs. The stencil printing apparatus comprises a printing apparatus body comprising a printing drum having UV curable ink, and an UV irradiation device connected to a paper output unit of the printing apparatus body. When the paper type is recognized as coated paper on the basis of a signal from paper type input means or the like, control means controls a master-making energy supplied to a thermal head serving as master-making means, to be larger than a master-making energy supplied in the case of uncoated paper. The paper onto which an ink image corresponding to the characteristics of coated paper has been transferred is then fed into the UV irradiation device, where the ink is dried and cured.

The printing drum 1 is provided with holding claws 15 which are opened and closed to hold the leading end of the sheet S and clamps 21 which can be opened and closed for clamping the trailing end of the sheet S. When the clamps 21 are moved from their open position to closed position, the clamps 21 are moved backward with respect to the rotating direction of the printing drum 1 to impart a tensile force to the trailing end of the sheet S and tighten the sheet so that the trailing end of the sheet is held by a clamp 21 with the sheet in its tight state.
