Abstract: Systems are disclosed for providing a plasma conduit maintaining ionized particles within a perforation hole in a body, and a power source configured to provide electrical power through the plasma conduit. Methods are disclosed for detonating a plasma generator, the detonation forming a plasma conduit within a body perforation hole, and connecting a power source to the plasma conduit, the power source configured to provide electrical power through the plasma conduit. Systems are also disclosed for generating a plasma conduit. The system includes two or more explosive devices containing ionizable material, and the explosive devices are adapted to, upon detonation, form a plasma conduit in a body by generating intersecting perforation holes including plasma for conducting electrical energy from a power source.

Abstract: A thin metal wire 8 is fused and vaporized by a predetermined amount of electrical energy supplied to the thin metal wire 8 for a short period of time, whereby a blasting substance 3 is expanded in volume. Therefore, a vaporization expansion force caused by the fusion and vaporization of the thin metal wire 8 moves a shock delivering member 22, so that the shock delivering member 22, colliding with a to-be-blasted object H1, delivers a shock to the to-be-blasted object H1, thereby blasting the to-be-blasted object H1.
Abstract: Detonation apparatus constituting a novel detonation amplifier is disclosed herein having a container enclosing a quantity of combined liquid compositions into which a detonation chamber is submerged. A pyrotechnic charge is suspended with the chamber which is surrounded by the liquid explosive composition. Apertures are provided in the wall of the chamber for permitting the liquid composition to enter the chamber. Activation of the pyrotechnic charge detonates the liquid composition within the chamber which, in turn, detonates the bulk quantity of the liquid composition in the container. In another form, the detonation amplifier includes a shaped charge producing a shock wave reflected back from a baffle to detonate the bulk quantity of the liquid composition in the container.
Abstract: A explosive device comprising:(1) a metal liner composed of a metal selected from the group consisting of luminum, magnesium, copper, and brass, the liner enclosing a chamber;(2) a liquid contained in the chamber;(3) a layer of pyrotechnic material surrounding the outside of the liner, the pyrotechnic material composed of a mixture of powders of(a) nickel;(b) metal oxide; and(c) an aluminum containing component which may be (i) aluminum or (ii) a mixture of from 50 to less than 100 weight percent of aluminum and from more than zero to 50 weight percent of a metal which can be magnesium, zirconium, bismuth, beryllium, boron, tantalum, copper, silver, niobium, or mixtures thereof;and(4) means for igniting the pyrotechnic material. This device is useful as an explosive, particularly as an underwater explosive.
