Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing situational awareness information are provided. The systems and methods include a portable aircraft configured to obtain situational awareness information. The portable aircraft includes a body including deployable wings, a stability device coupled to the body, the stability device including deployable tail fins, a propulsion device configured to propel the portable aircraft aloft, a capture device configured to selectively capture situational information, and a communications device configured to transmit captured situational information to a ground based receiver.
Abstract: A penetrating vehicle having a rocket motor includes an elongated projectile body with a forward section for holding a payload and a rearward section for housing the rocket motor. The vehicle contains a fuse that ignites the propellent of the rocket motor during impact of the projectile body with a surface barrier. The propellent provides high thrust in a rapid burn time and thereby counteracts undesirable deceleration forces acting on the body during impact. The high thrust also promotes a maximum penetration of the projectile body within the surface barrier.
Abstract: A device for detonating a rolling mine upon impact or collision with a target by a linkage of sensors which detect physical criteria independent of each other in a sequence predetermined in time, a signal processor connected thereto delivering a firing signal for detonating the mine at the proper time.

Abstract: A terrain-following transient surface contact vehicle for transporting a load from a surface starting point to a surface end point has a structure for carrying the load from the starting point to the end point. A vehicle support extends from the structure and abuts the surface and thereby supports the vehicle at a predetermined distance above the surface. An acquisition sensor mounted on the structure initiates surface operations. A sensor is mounted on the structure and cooperates with the acquisition sensor to sense and track a target at the end point upon initiation of surface operations. A power source is mounted on the structure and cooperates with the sensor to energize upon tracking of the target and to move the vehicle along the surface to impact with the target at the end point. A position control mounted on the vehicle produces a negative pitching moment to maintain the structure in terrain-following contact with the surface.

Abstract: An anti-tank mine with a wide area of action comprising means for detecting a target of the tracked-vehicle type and a mine body incorporating a pyrotechnic charge, means for controlling the triggering of the mine in response to a signal given by the target detection means, means for firing the charge and means for propelling the mine body triggered by the control means. The target detection means are associated with reinforcement means to constitute at least one flexible guide-detection cable serving as a guide when the mine body moves under the action of the propelling means in response to the detection of a target. Preferably a plurality of guide-detection cables spreadable in several different directions around the mine body are used.
