Abstract: A device for testing a cable deroped magnetic proximity detector positioned adjacent a cable sheave or sheave assembly on a cable operated ski lift. A sleeve of non-ferromagnetic material is temporarily secured coaxially over the steel lift cable and the sleeve is dimensioned in length and thickness in amounts sufficient to raise the cable simultaneously away from the detector and the adjacent sheaves whereby the detector indicates a derope condition. When the ski lift is operated to thereby move the sleeve over the detector and adjacent sheaves, a derope condition will be simulated and the alarm tested to determine whether it provides the appropriate signal.
Abstract: A terminal of a detachable cable-car with two or more carrier-hauling ropes including bull-wheels located underneath the floor. After the cars have been uncoupled the carrier-hauling ropes run on downward diversion means which direct the ropes towards the bull-wheels. The cars detached from the ropes pass between the diversion wheels to the rear of the terminal.
Abstract: An aerial transport installation having two parallel continuously moving suspension traction cables defining two endless loops have at least one cable car equipped with ward rippers for clamping the cables on the top part of the cables. The cables define a line of circulation for the cars including a track of arrival and a track of departure at each station, with the tracks defining horizontal planes. The end pulleys at each station include at least one return pulley for separating the cable loops so that the cable car can be totally disengaged and disassociated from the cable. The pulleys are arranged such that a longitudinal free space is provided between the loops of the cable at each station to facilitate the removal of the cable car from the cables.
Abstract: A bicable ropeway aerial transport system is disclosed which includes a pair of carrier and haulage ropes and at least two pair of end pulleys that are respectively engaged with the ropes in embarking and disembarking stations. The end pulleys in at least one of the stations are offset longitudinally and form between them a free space dimensioned to permit the engagement and disengagement of the vehicles from between the ropes in the free space.
Abstract: In the cableway having a multistrand lift cable, especially a double strand ift cable, with a plurality of couplable and uncouplable conveying means, the lift cable is guided at a driving station by at least two drive disks coupled with each other. The lift cable is formed by a single closed cable loop which is crossed at least once to form a plurality of cable segments. These cable segments are guided near the regions where the conveying means are coupled and uncoupled and in the conveying path parallel and adjacent each other. At least one crossing point of the lift cable loop is positioned between one of those regions and the cable (guide or drive) station associated therewith, near which the lift cable is fed to or guided from at least two guide disks positioned over each other at different heights by a plurality of deflection rolls.
