Wedge Operated Patents (Class 104/212)
  • Patent number: 9376269
Abstract: The device for transferring stacks of blister packs comprises at least one transfer cassette for holding a stack of blister packs, the transfer cassette comprising a bottom element and at least two opposing side boundary elements. A transfer cassette motion unit serves to move the transfer cassette in the conveying direction and in a direction transverse to the conveying direction and is configured in such a way that the transfer cassette is movable from a loading position, in which it is loaded with the stack of blister packs, to an unloading position, in which the stack of blister packs is transferred to a compartment of a conveying device. During unloading, the transfer cassette is moved laterally out of the compartment and thus out of the unloading position in a direction transverse to the conveying direction, whereas the stack of blister packs remains on the conveying device.

  • Patent number: 5211114
Abstract: A pulling system for pulling or moving a large object, such as pulling components of an offshore oil/gas production platform onto an adjacent barge that is subsequently transported to the installation site. This pulling system incorporates a single elongated rod that is connected between the object to be moved and a puller unit that pulls the object along a track. During operation, the puller unit causes a gripping unit to grip the rod so that the puller unit can move the object. Afterwards, the gripping unit releases its engagement of the rod, repositions itself with respect to the rod, and regrips the rod so that movement of the object may again be initiated by the puller unit.

  • Patent number: 4759439
Abstract: This invention provides a drive system for moving wheeled structures longitudinally along a supporting track. The drive system includes an element extending longitudinally below the track and having an upwardly inclined ramp portion, a main portion extending in parallel with the track and leading from the ramp portion, and a downwardly extending portion leading from the main portion. A drive system is adapted to drive the element such that the main portion moves at a speed equal to that at which the wheeled structure is intended to move and a gripper mechanism is provided for attachment to the wheeled structure to engage with the element.

  • Patent number: 4126850
Abstract: Warning lights are releasably secured, by means of clamps, along the length of a cable employed as a tether for a balloon. The cable passes through a relatively stationary, conically shaped cam at the base of the cable. As the balloon is winched back to earth, a cam follower on each clamp is forced into engagement with the cam, causing the jaws of the clamp to open and the clamp and its indicator automatically to be released from the cable.
