Abstract: A wedge deadend used to secure a cable is disclosed. The wedge deadend includes a single assembled frame comprising two plates. Two wedges between the plates grip a cable between them. A cam/bail retainer is included to align the wedges precisely.
Abstract: In order to operate both arms of a clamp of a funicular system of a rail and running cable vehicle with the same force and at the same time, a guide carrier element, which includes two longitudinal surfaces over which the free ends of the movable jaws move, is formed in one piece and can move vertically transverse to the free ends so as to be instantaneously and automatically self-centering about the jaws and hence about the clamp.
Abstract: A double-acting clamp for coupling a funicular vehicle to a running cable wherein in order to reduce the overall size as much as possible, a clamp has jaw operating arms substantially perpendicular to the jaws of each arm and said jaw operating arms define a space within which both an elastic mechanism and the operating arms for the elastic mechanism are housed.
