  • Patent number: 9499345
Abstract: A pacing device for a transfer of individual vehicles of a gravity conveyor onto a conveying device of the gravity conveyor that conveys in a paced manner. Thereby, the pacing device is designed such that the individual vehicles can be assigned to a pace of the conveying device and that the pacing device includes a damping mechanism that gently weakens an impulse of an individual vehicle moving in the direction of the pacing device, the impulse acting upon the pacing device. The pacing device can include a release on which the damping mechanism is formed. The damping mechanism in particular can be designed as an arm with an elastic part-region.

  • Patent number: 7685948
Abstract: A track traveling toy, including: a track; at least a part of the track being made to be a double track; and automotive vehicle stopping sections which are respectively provided on railway tracks of the double track, wherein an automotive vehicle entering the railway track on one side operates the stopping section of the railway track on the one side to stop the automotive vehicle on the railway track, and operates the stopping section on the other railway track to release a stopping state of an automotive vehicle on the railway track.

  • Patent number: 5016539
Abstract: A track installation for vehicles of a transport installation comprises a track supporting the vehicles at their vehicle carriages and possessing an inbound side and an outbound side for the vehicles. A conveyor is operatively associated with the track and contains entrainment members for entraining coaction with the vehicles. The track constitutes a generally or essentially horizontal track structure and extends along the complete length of the conveyor. Vehicle stops defining stop or parking positions for the vehicles are distributively arranged along the track. Each stop is provided with an actuation element and each stop or parking position has a vehicle sensor as well as an interrupter for disabling the entrainment of the there parked vehicle by the conveyor. The vehicle sensor of each stop or parking position is connected with the actuation element of the stop and also with the interrupter of the preceding or upstream located stop or parking position viewed in the vehicle conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 4961386
Abstract: Gravity fed trolleys are stacked up for storage on a rail and the lead trolley is accelerated downstream away from the stack by an air operated device that includes a single bellcrank with trolley engaging surface portions that not only hold back the stack, but that also accelerate each trolley away from the stack to avoid depending solely on the potential energy of the trolley to move it out of the stack.

  • Patent number: 4667602
Abstract: An escapement mechanism for advancing a leading one of a row of gravity biased objects supported on a guide comprises a leading stop bracket and a trailing stop bracket pivotally mounted in fixed relation to one another and a piston and cylinder assembly, which pivots the two brackets. The brackets are angularly displaced relative to one another such that at one time, one stop bracket is in the path of the objects to back them up and the other stop is out of the path of said objects. The objects back up against the leading stop bracket and then the piston and cylinder assembly simultaneously pivots the trailing stop bracket into the path of the object immediately behind the leading object and pivots the leading stop bracket out of the path of the leading object to allow the leading object to advance by gravity beyond the escapement mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4199893
Abstract: A housing having a base plate adapted to be used as part of a toy track is provided. A braking-bar is provided in one side wall, that is parallel to the base plate at the level of the upper area of the wheels of a car to be used on said track and is pivotable inwardly over the track at one part of its length against a spring tension at the level of the side wall. The braking bar will press against a drive wheel of the car and prevent it from moving. A locking member is mounted in the housing and movable between two positions, that releases the braking-bar in one position and that holds the braking-bar in place pivoting inwardly in the other position.

  • Patent number: 4165845
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing vehicles which are moved through a conduit by air through sequential zones one, two and three. Preferably, the zones are inclined downwardly towards downstream for aiding movement of the vehicles downstream by gravity. Zone one is a storage zone which preferably has vents adjacent its upstream end and its downstream end for controlling the speed of movement of vehicles into zone one and from zone one to zone two. Zone two is the processing zone which receives vehicles from zone one and releases the vehicles to zone three. Zone two includes an air blocking vehicle stop at its downstream end against which a first vehicle is held, and includes a holding arm which holds a second vehicle while the leading first vehicle is released. The first vehicle is released to zone three, but only when three is clear of vehicles and a second vehicle is positioned behind the first vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4114539
Abstract: A conveyer system including a power line with a running rail and a running chain, a horizontal free line with a running rail, a running belt and a stopper, and trolleys wherein the trolleys are brought into contact with the belt which runs along the running rail of the free line and are transferred along the free line by frictional force with the running belt. The stopper provided on the free line running rail may halt the trolleys against the frictional force of the belt.

  • Patent number: 3934516
Abstract: A device for use in a conventional conveyor system which enables trolleys to be batched, accumulated and individually dispatched into the conveyor system is disclosed. The invention comprises a batching portion and dispersing assembly. Flexible exciter dogs are used to drive the trolleys through the batching portion and dispersing assembly, and are capable of bending and thereby sliding over the top of the trolleys as they accumulate. A system of solenoid switches and mechanical stops permit accumulation and individual dispatching by the dispersing assembly of trolleys as desired, such as at inclines, declines, distribution points and dispatching points.
