Platforms Patents (Class 104/30)
  • Patent number: 10843713
Abstract: A railroad train marshaling system or method includes a railroad train with cars within a platform area. Door-free cars are connected with the cars within platform area at both ends or one end and made up of at least one car with no side door for passengers to get on and off the train. When the railroad train stops at the platform, the cars within the platform area are arranged to stop within the area of the platform or corresponding to the platform. The door-free car is arranged to stop beyond platform area and passengers in the door-free car will get to the platform directly from the car within platform area. The sum of length of door-free car and cars within platform area is more than a length of the platform.

  • Patent number: 8967050
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a train platform safety device. The train platform safety device is installed at a position corresponding to a safety line on a subway or railway platform and is configured such that wire ropes are moved upwards or downwards depending on conditions in which a train approaches or departs from the platform, thus preventing a passenger from intentionally or unintentionally falling onto the train track. Particularly, the distances that the wire ropes move upwards or downwards are determined by rotating a rotating unit including rotating members having different diameters, whereby the wire ropes overlap each other or spread from each other. In this way, the wire ropes allow or block access of passengers depending on conditions in which a train approaches or departs from the platform, thus fundamentally preventing a safety accident.
