To Bevel Gear Patents (Class 105/109)
  • Patent number: 11955875
Abstract: A system may generate energy in response to a movement of a vehicle. The system may include an energy recovery mechanism, a generator, an energy storage, and a motor. The energy recovery mechanism may include one or more rollers configured to rotate in response to a rotation of a drive shaft of the vehicle. The generator may be rotatably coupled to the roller and may be configured to generate an electrical output in response to a rotation of the roller. The energy storage may be electrically coupled with the generator and may be configured to receive a portion of the electrical output to store as energy. The motor may be electrically coupled with the energy storage and may be configured to receive a portion of the energy.

  • Patent number: 9951704
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring no start events for vehicles are provided. In accordance with one embodiment, a vehicle includes an engine, a sensing unit, a processor, and a transmitter. The sensing unit is configured to measure one or more parameter values for a vehicle after a request has been made to start the engine. The processor is coupled to the sensing unit, and configured to determine when a no start event has occurred for the vehicle using the one or more parameter values. The transmitter is coupled to the processor, and is configured to transmit, to a remote server, a no start event history for the vehicle based on the determining by the processor.

  • Patent number: 9168933
Abstract: A steering truck for steering a wheel axle of a truck has a solid lubricant application device at a position facing a flange of a wheel on the outer side of the wheel axle in the direction of travel in a truck frame. A solid lubricant is applied to freely make contact with and move away from the flange and a spring impels the solid lubricant towards the flange. A stopper restrains the solid lubricant from approaching the flange, By utilizing a forward and backward movement of the wheel axle in the travel direction caused by steering, the solid lubricant 3 makes contact only on the outer rail side toward which the wheel approaches when passing through a curved section. No contact occurs on the inner rail side from which the wheel moves away when passing through a curved section and when traveling through a straight section.

  • Patent number: 8601974
Abstract: A conveying device for a deposition device includes a transport device and a carrier. The transport device includes a main body, two wheels, a connection shaft, and a first bevel gear. The connection shaft is mounted on the main body. The two wheels are mounted on two opposite ends of the connection shaft. The first bevel gear is sleeved on the connection shaft. The carrier includes a revolving frame, a rotating shaft, a second bevel gear, and at least one carrying bar. The rotating shaft is mounted on the revolving frame. The second bevel gear is sleeved on one end of the rotating shaft and meshed with the first bevel gear. The revolving frame rotates relative to the rotating shaft. The at least one carrying bar is mounted on the revolving frame and driven by the rotating shaft to rotate. Each carrying bar includes supporting elements for carrying workpieces.

  • Patent number: 8196520
Abstract: A bogie for a locomotive comprising a bogie frame and at least one wheel set including two wheels, a wheel set gear, a wheel set shaft and a wheel set gear housing. A push/pull rod acts on one side of the bogie frame and on the other side of locomotive frame and transfers forces between the two. The gear housing of the wheel set exhibits a recess for the feeding through of the push/pull rod, the recess being bordered by walls which are integral with the remaining housing walls.

  • Patent number: 4702661
Abstract: A robot carrier structure constituted by a portal wagon movable on rails and laterially supported by a pair of carriages each comprising a pair of wheels longitudinally coupled by motion transmission means actuated in synchronism by an electric motor. Further the two electric motors of the pair of carriages are so connected as to constitute an electric axis. Each wheel has a structure adapted to ensure a high adherence to the rail, particularly due to the provision of a pair of rings of elastomeric material engaging the rolling surface of the rail.

  • Patent number: 4192239
Abstract: A pair of mechanical springs are disposed on an air spring on each side of a truck carrying a car body. A wide plank disposed between the pairs of mechanical springs and each of the air springs is pivoted to permit vertical movements without tilting of the air springs when the mechanical springs are deflected laterally. Shock absorber means are connected between the car body and bolster along the longitudinal axis of the bolster to control lateral shocks as when the mechanical springs are laterally deflected.Mechanical springs in railway cars have employed pairs of mechanical springs in series with pneumatic springs. Multiple mechanical springs, in series with pneumatic springs, have included a heavy outer coil spring and an inner lighter coil spring coaxially nested with the heavy outer spring used to keep the stress levels on the individual springs relatively low. This arrangement is illustrated in U.S. Pat. 3,491,702 to A. G. Dean entitled "Series Pneumatic and Coil Spring Assembly".

  • Patent number: 4148262
Abstract: Drive system for a railway vehicle. In a railway vehicle utilzing a high speed motor whose output shaft is arranged generally parallel to the direction of movement of the vehicle, there is provided a gearing system for connecting said motor to a driven axle of the vehicle of such nature that only a minimum of unsprung mass is present and said gearing occupies only a small amount of space. In general, the motor drives through at least two series connected gear reduction units and the output of the second thereof drives a hollow shaft surrounding the vehicle axis and flexibly connected thereto. Thus, the entire drive system excepting only for the flexible connection to the axle may be mounted on the spring supported portion of the vehicle.
