  • Patent number: 11376970
Abstract: A drive system of an electric vehicle is disclosed. The vehicle has an arrangement optimized for characteristics of a hydrogen electric truck so as to ensure an available space inside vehicle body frames, thereby allowing a battery, high-voltage electric parts, a hydrogen tank, and the like to be arranged inside the vehicle body frames and increasing space utilization in the vehicle. The drive system includes a motor configured to drive the vehicle, a reducer or a transmission connected to an output side of the motor so as to change a rotational speed of the motor, and a rear axle configured to transmit rotating power output from the reducer or the transmission to vehicle wheels. The motor and the reducer or the transmission together with the rear axle are mounted on a suspension.

  • Patent number: 11091178
Abstract: A locomotive suspension system includes a truck frame coupled with a locomotive body frame by one or more upper suspensions and a first motor suspension coupled with a first motor and the truck frame. The first motor is coupled with a first axle of the truck frame. The locomotive suspension system also includes a second motor suspension coupled with a second motor and the truck frame. The second motor is coupled with a second axle of the truck frame. The first and second motor suspensions are asymmetrically arranged on opposite sides of a bisecting plane of a truck wheelbase of the truck frame. The truck wheelbase extends from the first axle to the second axle along a length of the truck frame.

  • Patent number: 7836830
Abstract: A railway bogie is provided with two cross-members for supporting a linear induction motor, mounted on the axle boxes via of resilient mounting apparatus allowing pivoting movement of each cross-member about a transversal axis of rotation. A system of five links is used to connect the linear induction motor to the cross-members. The links are located in such a way that the resultant of the vertical forces transmitted by the linear induction motor to each cross-member is located at a first centre position on the first transversal axis equidistant from the axle boxes. The mounting apparatus are further provided with height adjusters that allow adjustment of the height and cross level position of the linear induction motor.

  • Patent number: 5520117
Abstract: A traction vehicle, in particular railway traction vehicle, comprising a bogey chassis mounted on wheel axles, a vehicle chassis spring-mounted on the bogey chassis and at least one motor-transmission unit mounted underneath the vehicle chassis and within the bogey chassis close to the wheel axle driven by the motor-transmission unit. The motor-transmission unit is suspended from the bogey chassis by a pendulum suspension close to the set of wheels in the bogey chassis. The motor-transmission unit is also suspended in the vehicle by a pendulum suspension. The motor transmission unit is provided with a pair of connecting rods in which either or both are connected to the bogey chassis or the vehicle chassis. The connecting rods are arranged with one rod parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and the other rod being either parallel to or angularly related to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5146854
Abstract: A suspended personnel carrier includes an elevated cylindrical track from which a carrier is suspended for translation by a bearing assembly. The bearing assembly includes orthogonal rollers which ride along the cylindrical track. The carrier is propelled along the track through a fan drive system including a propeller and a motor. The frame of the carrier is divided into front and rear portions connected by a hinge. A crossed parallelogram linkage suspension connects the front and rear portions, such that turning of the front portion by manual manipulation of a handlebar assembly effects a mirror image movement of the rear portion. The drive motor and propeller are coupled to the frame of a carrier by a slip rail assembly, and to the bearing assembly by a shock absorbing telescoping linkage, such that drive force is first transmitted to the bearing assembly, rather than the frame.

  • Patent number: 3955808
Abstract: A spring element comprises an insert formed of a rigid metallic core having four outwardly directed faces each bonded to a respective side of a respective elastomeric body whose other side is bonded to a respective metallic plate. The insert so formed is compressed and fits in a throughgoing central passage in a rigid metallic casing with each of the metal plates pressing against a respective inwardly directed face of the casing. The insert is symmetrical about a vertical plane and the angle between the upper two bodies can be larger than the angle between the lower two bodies. In addition the metal plates of the upper two bodies may be integrally formed of a single metal strip also constituting a part of the casing and the lower bodies carry metal plates which lie within a seat which can be formed in a motor-vehicle frame element for a very compact assembly.
