Abstract: An apparatus and method for removing logs from a forestry site. The apparatus and method includes a primary mobile machine having means attached to a rearward portion thereof for holding a first end of a first log cluster. The apparatus and method also includes a first secondary mobile machine with a first end having means for holding a second end of the first log cluster, and a second end having means for holding a first end of a second log cluster. The primary mobile machine and the first secondary mobile machine are interconnected by the first log cluster.

Abstract: A railroad track trailer for carrying replacement rail sections along a railroad track, which reduces the problems of having a trailer which will tend to jump off the track, when going around curves, and which includes support systems that ease the ability of workers to load and unload rail sections from the trailer.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for reducing trees to firewood. The apparatus has an angle iron frame supported by at least two wheels and a plurality of upright yoke supports spacedly positioned along the angle iron frame for holding tree logs to be cut between any pair of contiguous yoke supports by a chain saw. The method includes placing the logs on the yoke supports for cutting.

Abstract: A log bunk having releasable stakes, secured in the upright position by a positive latching mechanism enclosed totally within the bunk. The invention provides a latch mechanism wherein the stakes can be released from either end of the bunk.
