Single Axle Patents (Class 105/199.5)
  • Patent number: 8468952
Abstract: Methods and system are provided for a vehicle truck assembly which includes a spring coupling an axle carrier to a truck frame. In one example, the system comprises a substantially vertically-mounted hydraulic actuator which generates hydraulic forces between the axle carrier and the truck frame. The actuator includes a cylinder, a piston, and a piston rod. Further, the actuator is coupled between the axle carrier and the truck frame with longitudinal and lateral play so that the axle carrier can move laterally and longitudinally with respect to the truck frame while the actuator applies hydraulic force.

  • Patent number: 8136455
Abstract: Disclosed is a device (20) for suspending a first element (16) on a second element (14, 16, 18) of a railway vehicle. Said suspension device (20) comprises two longitudinal rods (26, 28) which are each connected to the first element (16) by means of a first connection point (30, 32) and to the second element (14, 16, 18) by means of a second connection point (34, 36), and at least one elastic member (38) that is positioned between the two rods (26, 28) to define at least the vertical rigidity of the suspension device (20). The two rods (26, 28) are longitudinally offset relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 6230631
Abstract: Single-axle running gear with movable independent wheels for articulated car transporter wagons. The running gear comprises a carrying frame (1), suspension springs (2) with vertical dampers (AV) mounted inside them, sliding shoes for supporting the running gear during the process of changing track gauge, suspension headers (4) with stabilizing arms (5), hanging suspension links connected to the suspension headers, and systems for guiding the running gear. The invention is useful for allowing the articulated car transporter platform wagons to be used on networks with two different track guages.
