Rolling Tilt Patents (Class 105/264)
  • Patent number: 9567170
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for turning a cargo carrier (3) with the purpose of discharging the same of cargo, which system comprises a transport device (1) having a chassis, a cargo carrier (3) loosely carried on the chassis and provided with engagement points (6a, 6b), a first turning device (10) disposed to engage with the engagement points (6a) of the cargo carrier as well as to actuate the cargo carrier for the turning of the same, and a second turning device (11) disposed to engage with the engagement points (6b) of the cargo carrier at the same time as the first turning device actuates the cargo carrier, members for the control and actuation of at least the first device (10), and members for the correct positioning of the cargo carrier (3). Upon actuation of the first device (10), the cargo carrier is disposed to tilt so that the engagement points arranged on the second side of the cargo carrier will engage with the second turning device (11).

  • Patent number: 8256355
Abstract: An improved rail car is pulled by an engine for transporting coal or other porous dust bearing materials. The car has opposing long sidewalls and opposing shorter end walls, which together define an initially open interior, a bottom and an open top. The open top of the car is covered by at least one pair of main doors in the form of opposing hinged A-frame sections which are pivotable between a closed, transport position and an open loading position which exposes the rail car interior for loading. The A-frame sections also have longitudinally spaced edges which are spaced apart to form a discharge door opening. A discharge door is located in each of the discharge door opening and is pivotally hinged within the respective door opening so that it opens under the influence of gravity in a rotary dumping operation. The discharge doors, together with the A-frame sections, form a door-within-a-door operating configuration.

  • Patent number: 7125449
Abstract: An improved surface material is particularly suited for non-turf baseball field applications such as the pitcher's mound and base paths. The material generally comprises clay, wax and sand and has a putty-like consistency. Cleats can penetrate the material but are not likely to pull it out in clumps upon removal of the cleats. Method for forming the surface includes spraying emulsified wax on a surface and mixing it with the surface material.

  • Patent number: 4619484
Abstract: The improved assembly includes a truck having a generally horizontal trailer frame supported on rotatable wheels. The upper surface of the frame preferably includes a dished portion adapted to receive the assembly's open-topped, curved container bin, and also includes spaced rollers rotatably supporting the bin above the bottom surface of the dished portion. An upwardly directed tilt link is pivotally connected to at least one end of the frame adjacent one side thereof and to the upper end of the bin adjacent the opposite side thereof. A ram, preferably hydraulic, is pivotally connected to the side of the frame at a point remote from the tilt link and extends upwardly to pivotally connect to the upper part of the bin. If desired, a pair of tilt links can be used at opposite ends of the frame, with the ram spaced therebetween. During extension of the ram, the bin initially rotates on the rollers, without lateral displacement, enabling side loading from low slung bucket arms.

  • Patent number: 4453871
Abstract: An unloading mechanism for a goods wagon having a container with a cylindrical bottom and rotatably carried at its ends in bearings on bogies comprises an arcuate guide affixed to the container and extending on the underside around the cylindrical bottom of the container in a helical configuration and two rollers respectively rotatably carried on supports at different levels and disposed on opposite sides of a travelling path of the wagon As the wagon is moved to an unloading station the roller at the lower level comes into contact with the underside of the guide and forces the container to turn 180.degree. into an inverted position. The container can then be forced to turn another 180.degree. to a transport position by bringing the roller at the higher level into contact with the upper side of the guide.
