    Abstract: A storage container for a tractor trailer. The storage container includes two side walls positioned parallel to two frame rails on the tractor trailer. Two end walls are coupled to the two side walls. A bottom plate is coupled adjacent the tractor trailer. A cover plate is hingedly coupled adjacent the tractor trailer. The storage container opens parallel to the two frame rails. A method for using a storage container includes remotely activating an actuator coupled to a cover plate, wherein the actuator causes the cover plate to rotate in an arc parallel to a frame rail on the tractor trailer from a closed to an open position; adding or removing items from a storage area; remotely activating the actuator, wherein the actuator causes the cover plate to close; and remotely locking the storage container.

    Abstract: An attachment for trucks, particularly tractor units associated with a flat bed trailer having removable side boards, headboard and tailgate with the attachment being in the form of a headache rack attached to the frame of the truck forwardly of the trailer and being constructed in part from the side boards, headboard and tailgate of the trailer when the trailer is converted to a flat bed arrangement. The rack includes supporting stands attached to the frame rails of the truck frame which support a bottom pan with sockets receiving the stakes of the trailer headboard and tailgate enclosing a space receiving the side boards and stakes together with a top cap removably securing these components in place.

    Abstract: A flat bed trailer formed of a pair of horizontally spaced longitudinally extending I-beams and a plurality of longitudinally spaced transversely extending tubular members positioned in longitudinally spaced apertures in the I-beams inwardly of their upper portions with the sides of the tubular members being welded to the portions of the I-beams defining the apertures and with the uppermost portions of the tubular members positioned in abutting relation under the upper portions of said I-beams.
