    Abstract: A chair for use in take-off or landing of a user wearing personal flying equipment may include a seat for the user to straddle such that the user faces in a forward direction. The chair may include a torso support for supporting a torso of the user sitting on the seat. The torso support may be concave and define an opening facing the seat. The seat and torso support may be mounted to a structure. A base member may be rigidly connected to the structure and may extend outwardly from either side of the structure, leaving a space below the structure for receiving a leg of the user when the user sits on the seat.

    Abstract: A space transport vehicle including a body movably mounted on an elongated guide member disposed in outer space and driven therealong. A drive wheel is mounted on a drive shaft in rolling engagement with the elongated guide carrying the vehicle. A brake member on the drive shaft moves into and out of engagement with an adjacent surface of the drive wheel. An actuator on the body manually moves back and forth between spaced positions in an arc of movement. A rachet-and-pawl mechanism operates upon movements of the actuator in one direction between first and second positions for coupling the actuator to the drive wheel to incrementally rotate the wheel in one rotational direction and to operate upon movements of the actuator in the opposite direction for uncoupling the actuator from the wheel.

    Abstract: The present invention is a toy vehicle upon which a child may ride and propel the vehicle forwardly by merely oscillating a swingable lever. The toy vehicle incorporates a drive operated by oscillating a swingable lever, and wherein forward propulsion is applied to the drive wheel by swinging the lever in both directions as the lever is being oscillated. The swingable oscillatable lever rotatably oscillates a drive pulley connected to an endless belt. When turned in one direction, the pulley tightens and drives the somewhat slack belt and propels the drive wheel forwardly. When the pulley is turned in the other direction, the pulley again tightens the belt and again propels the drive wheel forwardly.
