Abstract: The invention relates to an aqueous solution containing at least one modification agent, whey, water glass and a solvent, in particular an aqueous solvent, and to the uses thereof, particularly as a fire-retardant impregnation, coating or sealant material.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a thermoplastic cellulosic composition for preparing a cellulose-based masterbatch and/or a cellulose-based fiber with a networked structure. In one example, the thermoplastic cellulosic composition includes an esterified cellulose present in a range of about 80 wt % to about 95 wt %, polyethylene glycol present in a range of about 4.5 wt % to about 12 wt %, a tri-functional cross-linking agent present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 3 wt %, an initiator present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 0.15 wt %, and a dispersing agent present in a range of about 0.01 wt % to about 5 wt %.
Abstract: A method for producing an oil-binding agent of granular open-porous structure with a silicate ceramic matrix by using recovered paper material and clay. The method is characterized in that, in each case based on the entire raw material, 35 to 60 wt.-% sewage sludge with a water content of between 70 and 85 wt.-%, 25 to 55 wt.-% recovered paper material with a water content of between 35 and 55 wt.-%, 10 to 25 wt.-% clay and optionally 1 to 3 wt.-% zeolite, 1 to 2 wt.-% quicklime and/or up to 3 wt. % fly ash are mixed to a homogeneous mixture. The raw material thus obtained is subsequently processed in order to form particles having an average diameter of 4 to 6 mm. The particles are then dried and subsequently burnt at 950 to 1050° C. The oil-binding agents produced according to said method have a bulk density of between 0.4 and 0.75 kg/1 and a oil-binding capability of 0.7 to 1.0 1 oil per oil-binder.

Abstract: Coating compositions containing an oxidized oil and an effective amount of a diluent selected from one of: the group of methyl and ethyl esters of fatty acids, oils and combinations thereof; the group of glycerol and polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, oils, and combinations thereof; and light petroleum oil with a viscosity from about 1 cP to about 100 cP at 100° F., wherein the coating composition has a viscosity of from about 3 cP to about 5000 cP at 140° F., and wherein the coating composition is effective for reducing dust formation and cake formation in the coated free-flowing dry material. The coating compositions and associated methods of the present invention are particularly suited to reduce dust formation and cake formation in free-flowing dry materials.
Abstract: In order to control volatilization or release of organic solvent, especially formaldehyde, and to adsorb them, and at the same time, to improve weather resistance, water resistance, stain resistance and fungus resistance, natural paint is composed of vegetable drying oil, haze wax, candelilla wax and carnauba wax as the main components, and contains at least one or more of rosin, silk powder and component of rice bran.
