Abstract: A bioplastic composition may contain certain biodegradable and renewable components. In some examples, the bioplastic composition includes at least one kind of aquatic macrophyte biomass, which may contain a native composition of protein and carbohydrates, in a blend with one or more types of biodegradable or durable thermoplastic polymers. The aquatic macrophyte composition may provide a balance of both polymeric and reinforcing properties to the blended bioplastic not typically exhibited by terrestrial feedstock such as soy meal or corn starch. Such a bioplastic composition may be formed into molded articles using extrusion, injection molding, compression molding, or the like.

Abstract: Provided is a collagen-cellulose material containing, based on a total weight of the collagen-cellulose material: 1.0-9.0 wt. % of a collagen; 0.2-3.0 wt. % of cellulose or a derivative thereof; 0.5-6.5 wt. % of at least one acid selected from an inorganic acid, an organic acid, and mixtures thereof; and water. Also provided is a process for producing the collagen-cellulose material. Also provided is an artificial blood vessel containing the collagen-cellulose material which is in the form of a hollow tube, an artificial tissue containing the collagen-cellulose material which is in the form of a sheet, and an artificial bone containing the collagen-cellulose material which is in the form of a solid. Also provided is a medical device containing the collagen-cellulose material, as well as a process for testing phlebotomical, surgical or orthopedic instrumentation or practicing phlebotomical, surgical or orthopedic procedures using the medical device containing the collagen-cellulose material.
Abstract: The present invention includes a consumer product packet comprising a capsule and a fill composition within the capsule. The capsule has a tack temperature of about 110° F. or higher and substantially dissolves in water within a predetermined time period at a temperature of about 70° F. or lower. In one example, the capsule comprises a film having at least one polymer, at least one plasticizer, and at least one temperature adjusting agent. Dependent on the fill composition, the consumer product packet may be used for any household or personal use. In one example, the fill composition is a detergent concentrate comprises one or more surfactants, one or more humectants, and a coalescing solvent which has hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value from about 7 to about 9, wherein the ratio of the one or more humectants to the coalescing solvent is more than 1.
