Abstract: The present invention provides a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution capable of suppressing contamination by components other than polyvinyl alcohol to form a film that contains few air bubbles and is excellent in adhesion to a base material, and a laminated film formed of the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution. The present invention relates to a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution including polyvinyl alcohol, a surface tension regulator, and water, the surface tension regulator being at least one selected from the group consisting of a polyether silicone compound, a glycerol compound, a cyclic hydrocarbon compound, a propylene glycol compound, and a fatty acid ester compound, the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution containing 500 to 10000 parts by weight of water based on 100 parts by weight of the polyvinyl alcohol and having a surface tension of 45 to 72 mN/m.
