Abstract: A novel method for making decorative structures, specifically for use as writing instruments composed of a novel material composition that scatters and reflects light to exhibit a particular visual effect, i.e. a glitter effect. The composition is made of one or a combination of a number of different resins combined with a mica dust and/or a diamond dust. The resin is an organic compound and in composed partially or entirely from epoxide, polyester and/or polyurethane. Other additives can be added to the resin to enhance the visual effect including ground glass and dyes or pigments.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising an aqueous solution of an acid suppressible hydrophobically modified alkylene oxide polymer and a phosphoric acid ester surfactant. The composition of the present invention provides a pourable thickener with high solids content and good phase stability.

Abstract: There are provided a retardation film, a manufacturing method thereof, and a liquid crystal display device including the same. The retardation film includes 1) an acrylic film, 2) a coating layer of a negative C-type material, and 3) a primer layer including a copolymer containing an aromatic vinyl-based unit and a maleic acid-based unit, provided between the acrylic film and the coating layer of the negative C-type material. The retardation film may be used in an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device.
