  • Patent number: 11305557
Abstract: In example implementations, a system is provided. The system includes at least one fluid ejection apparatus, a heater and an energy source. The at least one fluid ejection apparatus dispenses a de-contented fluid onto a substrate during conveyance of the substrate. The heater is arranged after the at least one fluid ejection apparatus along a substrate conveying path. The heater removes a liquid from the de-contented fluid on the substrate such that the particles of the de-contented fluid remain on the substrate. The energy source is arranged after the heater along the substrate conveying path. The energy source applies energy to the substrate during the conveyance of the substrate to heat the substrate to a temperature that is approximately a melting temperature of the substrate to fuse the particles on the substrate to the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20030017260
Abstract: A composition for a fluorescent marking paste or paint that is non-toxic, water soluble, clear drying and safe for nonporous surfaces is disclosed. The invention is composed of a generic white school paste or any other water soluble, non-toxic, clear drying paste or cement to which non-toxic fluorescent or phosphorescent colorant particles and water are added. The consistency of the resultant mixture is either a paste for making an impression or a paint for applying to a non-porous object using a brush, and the paste or paint, when dry, is clearly visible under UV light. Unique identifying marks such as identifying stamps, actual fingerprints, or numbers may be placed on any nonporous object that can be safely cleaned with a damp cloth. This invention provides a safe marking system for allowing e-commerce sellers to prevent buyer fraud or for allowing owners to identify possessions for inventory and insurance purposes.

  • Patent number: 6176905
Abstract: By applying a reaction solution containing an aqueous solution of copper salts and salts of inorganic acids, to a pre-oxidized or partially already patinated copper surface, it is possible to produce a patina layer on copper objects, either directly at the construction site or also at the factory. The reaction solution is particularly well-suited for pre-oxidized or partially already patinated copper surfaces. Copper surfaces, which have not been completely green-patinated, or have been damaged, also obtain a uniform patina layer when the reaction solution is used. The reaction solution can be changed in its consistency and adapted to the conditions of use in each case by adding wetting agents or thickeners. The reaction solution can be applied using a brush, roller or spraying device, and can be stored and processed at ambient temperature.
