Abstract: The producing method includes: (I) providing an active energy ray curable resin composition for mold surface release treatment between a mold having uneven microstructure on its surface and a substrate, and after curing the resin composition by irradiation with an active energy ray, peeling off the substrate together with a cured article of the active energy ray curable resin composition from the surface of the mold, thereby performing a release treatment to the surface of the mold; and (II), after step (I), providing an active energy ray curable resin composition for shaping between the substrate and the mold, the surface of which has been treated by the release treatment, and after curing the resin composition by an active energy ray, peeling off the substrate together with a cured article of the active energy ray curable resin composition for shaping from the surface of the mold.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a coating material comprising (A) at least one binder as component (A) and (B) at least one photocatalytically active particle comprising a core composed of at least one first substance having a diameter of 0.1 to 1 ?m and at least one envelope at least partly surrounding the core and composed of at least one second substance having an average layer thickness of 0.1 to 10 nm as component (B).

Abstract: A mold assembly for the manufacture of at least one ophthalmic device used in or on the eye is disclosed. The mold assembly includes a mateable pair of mold parts wherein at least one of the mold parts comprises at least an oxygen-absorbing mold material and an oxygen scavenger composition containing (i) an oxygen scavenging polymer comprising a polymer backbone and one or more substituted or unsubstituted cyclic olefinic groups covalently linked to the polymer backbone; and (ii) an oxygen scavenging catalytic amount of a transition metal catalyst.

Abstract: Many commercial radiant energy processing systems, such as luminaires and light detectors, require highly efficient diffusely reflective surfaces that can withstand high temperatures. As disclosed herein, a reflector for such a device is constructed of a substrate with a reflective coating, for example painted onto one or more surfaces of the substrate. The coating material comprises a zinc oxide pigment, preferably an uncalcined zinc oxide together with a small amount of a dispersing agent. The pigment and water are mixed together with an alkali metal silicate vehicle-binder (preferably a potassium silicate), for example, in a sheer mixer. The resulting material can be painted onto the desired surface, for example by spraying, spot-brushing or dipping.
Abstract: Non-stick mold, tool or apparatus is used to convert a liquid or semi-solid material to an end product after the application of a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time. The non-stick mold, tool or apparatus includes a planar portion having at least one cavity. The cavity defined by a side wall that extends downwardly from the planar portion to a closed end. The non-stick mold, tool or apparatus is made from a blend of a fluoropolymer component and a food grade silicon rubber component.
