Abstract: A variety of methods and compositions are disclosed, including, in one embodiment a method a cementing in a subterranean formation comprising: providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising water, pumice, hydrated lime, and a set retarder; foaming the set-delayed cement composition; activating the set-delayed cement composition; introducing the set-delayed cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the set-delayed cement composition to set in the subterranean formation. Additional methods, foamed set-delayed cement composition, and systems for cementing are also provided.

Abstract: A dry composition including at least one binder and an oil comprising at least one compound of formula (I) below: wherein, Z represents an optionally substituted, linear or branched C4 to C28 alkyl radical or an optionally substituted, linear or branched C4 to C28 alkenyl radical, and R, R? and R? are identical or different and separately represent an optionally substituted, linear or branched hydrogen atom, hydroxyl radical, C1 to C12 alkyl radical, an optionally substituted, linear or branched C1 to C12 heteroalkyl radical, an optionally substituted, linear or branched C5 to C10 cycloalkyl radical, or an optionally substituted, linear or branched C6 to C18 aryl radical.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for producing a recycled hardened material using waste gypsum. The method comprises treating acidic wastewater generated in the production of copper, zinc or titanium or the production of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and chlorine using saline water, with calcium hydroxide (slaked lime), so as to precipitate sludge, and mixing the precipitated sludge with pulp sludge ashes having pozzolanic properties.
Abstract: Effective use of dispersants in wallboard containing foam results from a method where stucco is mixed with a first dispersant and a first quantity of water to form a gypsum slurry. A soap is blended with a second dispersant and a second quantity of water to make a foam. Subsequently, the foam is combined with the slurry. Choice of different first and second dispersants and their relative amounts allows control of the size distribution of the foam bubbles in the slurry and the resulting voids in the gypsum core. Use of the same dispersant in both the mixer and the foam water provides a boost in efficacy of the dispersant.
