Abstract: A pipe fitting stand for supporting a pipe during a work operation includes a table, and a plurality of legs coupled to the table. The plurality of legs are moveable between a first position and a second position via a linkage mechanism. The pipe fitting stand additionally includes a stirrup coupled to one of the plurality of the legs to facilitate pivoting the plurality of legs between the first position and the second position.

Abstract: A blow-molded plastic structure has a hollow interior portion formed during a blow-molding process, and includes first and second outer portions that are spaced apart from each other, with the hollow interior portion disposed there between. The structure includes a pattern of structural stiffening features that are integrally formed in the second outer portion. The pattern of structural stiffening features includes a plurality of tripodal depressions disposed in rows and columns and a plurality of convex regions disposed in rows and columns between the plurality of tripodal depressions. Each convex region has a maximum height between the first and second outer portions. Each of the tripodal depressions extends into the hollow interior portion, includes three indentations disposed adjacent the first outer portion, and includes an island spaced away from the first outer portion. The island has three sides, each of which is disposed adjacent one of the three indentations.

The support bracket includes a first arm having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being rotationally attached to a frame of a table or bench; a second arm having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being rotationally attached to a leg of the table and the distal end being rotationally attached to the distal end of the first arm; and a locking ring slidably disposed on the first arm between the proximal end and the distal end of the first arm for engaging a locking portion of the second arm when the locking ring is in a locking position. The locking portion has a first edge that increasingly diverges from a second edge when moving from the distal end toward the proximal end of the second arm.

Abstract: A portable retractable barrier apparatus may comprise a primary standard and a secondary standard for positioning on a ground surface. Each standard may include a base portion with the base portion of at least one of the standards having a slot, and a post portion mounted on the base portion. A barrier may have a first end mounted on the primary standard and a second end mounted on the secondary standard. A retraction structure may be configured to retract the barrier with respect to the primary standard and may include a spool with the barrier at least partially wrapped about the spool. The slot in the base portion of one standard being configured to receive the post portion of the other standard so that the base portion of said at least one standard is restable upon the base portion of said other standard.

Abstract: Disclosed is a folding table including two table tops, a first and second support components and four table legs. The two table tops are joined at a folding line with a middle point. The support components support the table tops, each of which has a border and two connecting arms. The border is connected to an outer edge of the table tops. One end of the connecting arm is connected to the border, and the other end of the connecting arm has a hinge part. The hinge part of the connecting arm of the first support component joins that of the respective connecting arm of the second support component. One end of the table leg is hinged to the border. The other ends of the table legs meet at the middle point in the folded state.

Preferably, the table includes a table top having a working surface and a mounting surface, upon which the legs are attached. Fixturing mounts may be integrally formed with the table top by a process such as blow molding. The fixturing mounts may be configured to receive and hold independent mounting assemblies, each of which is pivotally attached to a leg. The fixturing mounts may have fixturing protrusions arranged so as to frictionally engage the mounting assemblies in such a manner that the mounting assemblies are held in place. An adhesive may then be applied to the mounting assemblies to provide a more permanent attachment, if desired. The adhesive may be allowed to set without using any external fixturing implements to hold the mounting assemblies in place.

The proximal end is pivotably attached to the shelf and pivotable between a first position generally perpendicular to the shelf and a second position generally parallel to the shelf. The distal end is formed to engage a horizontal surface to support the shelf when in the first position and alternately allowing the stacking of multiple rack assemblies together. In the stacked configuration, the distal end of each leg engages a second shelf of similar construction, when in the first position, so as to secure a leg of the second shelf in the first position.

The linking unit includes a first linking plate with an upper end pivoted to the seat member, a second linking plate with a lower end pivoted to the leg member, a resilient locking plate with an upper end pivoted to the seat member, and a locking pin extending through an elongated hole in the locking plate. The locking pin interconnects foldably adjacent ends of the first and second linking plates, and has a narrower pin section slidable along the elongated hole during pivoting movement of the first and second linking plates relative to each other. The locking pin further has a wider pin section which engages an enlarged hole end of the elongated hole when the first and second linking plates are unfolded from each other for locking the first and second linking plate at an unfolded state.

Abstract: An institutional table is of the type in which the table tops and the seats for table users are assembled as an integral (as well as foldable and storable) structure. The table has first and second flat table tops pivotally coupled to one another at a hinge section. A center leg component is coupled to the table tops at the hinge section and supports the table at such hinge section when the table is erected ready for use. The table has a plurality of seat support frames coupled to the table tops. At least one of those seat support frames includes a self-adjustable frame coupled to the first table top by a sliding joint. In a specific embodiment, the seat support frames includes first and second endframe seat supports coupled to the first and second table tops, respectively. Two of the seat support frames, i.e., the first and second midframe seat supports are, respectively, between the center leg component and one of the endframe seat supports.

Abstract: A tray device for mounting in a vehicle. The tray device includes a tray top and a pair of legs pivotally coupled to the lower surface of the tray top. The legs are positioned adjacent one of the end edges of the tray top. A mounting member is coupled to another of the end edges of the tray top. The mounting member has a pair of spaced apart elongate arm portions and a cross portion extending between the arm portions of the mounting member. Each of the arm portions has a hooked upper end which is adapted for insertion into a slot of a door of a vehicle between a window of the door and an inner door panel of the door such that the mounting member is positioned adjacent the inner door panel of the door.

Abstract: Support apparatus includes a pair of folding leg elements pivotally secured to a longitudinal beam assembly. The beam assembly includes two beams longitudinally aligned with each other and secured by a U-shaped clamp. The leg elements are secured to the center, longitudinally extending beams by a pair of cam lock units, secured to the leg units. The cam lock units pivot and are lockable to the beam in both the open, support position and in the folded, storage position. The use of the two beam elements and the U-shaped channel connector allows the beam elements to twist relative to each other, and the twisting allows the leg elements to remain stable while disposed on an uneven surface.

Abstract: A sectional folding table has a first-tabletop frame (3) with an outside periphery into which a second-tabletop frame (4) and foldable legs (16, 18) of the second-tabletop frame are pivotally foldable. An attachment side (20) of the first-tabletop frame is attachable to a separate structure such as a vehicle compartment (15), to another table or to other desired objects of a desired height as an option to primary legs (26, 27). Legs of both tabletop frames are attached pivotally to a joint side (10) and positioned in juxtaposed relationship for side-by-side pivotal folding. Several embodiments are shown.

Abstract: A free standing stacking shelf system is provided wherein the stacking elements of each shelf are selectively collapsible or foldable with respect to the shelf and can be selectively locked into a predetermined angular disposition with respect to the shelf element. Each of the stacking elements is substantially U-shaped having first and second legs and a base extending therebetween. The free ends of the legs are pivotally coupled to a respective shelf. A device is provided for selectively locking the legs and hence the stacking element with respect to the shelf in a predetermined orientation. When the legs are unlocked from the shelf element, the stacking elements can be collapsed or folded so as to be closely adjacent to the shelf element thereby significantly reducing the overall height of the shelf for transport and storage.

Abstract: A mobile work station for a painter or the like comprising a tray to hold paint containers and tools, four legs with wheels and a handle. The tray may be divided into compartments to more securely hold the paint containers. The legs are pivotally mounted and may swivel through 270.degree. for storage in the tray for ease of storage and transport. The legs may be secured in the depending and in the stored positions. A removable shelf may be attached to the work station to hold accessory equipment, tools and personal items. A carrying strap is provided to facilitate transport of the work station.

Abstract: A molded plastic mount for a folding table leg has a base portion with suitable means for fastening securely to the underside of a table top. A tubular pedestal portion extends downwardly from the base portion, and is long enough, and strong enough, to secure a tubular upper end of a table leg extending downwards to support the table top for use under normal conditions. This tubular pedestal portion is open on one side, and has a pivot through the pedestal and the top of the table leg to permit the table leg to be folded up against the underside of the table top in a storing or carrying position. Plastic lugs at the bottom of the pedestal, on either side of the opening, extend around the top of the table leg to secure it in its downward position, but are flexible enough to permit the table leg to be moved to its upward position, and secure it in that position.

Abstract: A jigsaw puzzle assembly and storage apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a ferromagnetic base portion preferably contructed including a thin layer of tin or steel. The base portion includes at least one beveled edge which permits a partial assembly or an entire puzzle to be shifted intact up the beveled edge and onto the base portion for storage. A flexible magnetic cover sheet is hingeably coupled to the base portion along one edge and the magnetic attraction between the entire surface of the ferromagnetic base portion and the magnetic cover sheet serves to hold a plurality of jigsaw puzzle pieces fixedly mounted in a desired relationship during horizontal or vertical storage. A preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a set of folding legs disposed on the lower surface of the base portion which permit the base portion to be utilized as a freestanding work station.

Abstract: The foldable cantilever comprises a supporting arm formed by a U-profile. A supporting flap extends obliquely from the web of this profile section. The supporting arm is hingedly connected to a jib. A strut is, furthermore, also hingedly connected to the jib. The supporting arm, the jib and the strut are U-shaped profile sections. In use the U-profile which forms the strut supports itself on a supporting flap formed on the web of the profile section forming the supporting arm. A strut controlled slider is arranged in the supporting arm. The strut is connected by a tension spring to the jib. This tension spring leads to the lower edge of the strut being biased against or towards, respectively, the supporting arm. Accordingly, the foldable cantilever occupys in its shipping state only a small space and it is possible to open it to its operating position by means of only one manually made movement thereof.

Abstract: A pair of manually-manipulatable spring-loaded buttons are accessible outwardly of the side walls of a pair of respective vise brackets secured beneath the table of a portable foldable workbench. When the buttons are pressed laterally inwardly, respective latching mechanisms are released to enable the workbench to be raised from a lowered storage position into an erected working position, and vice-versa. The buttons facilitate a rapid movement of the workbench from one position to another, and the buttons are conveniently located on the workbench for improved ergonomics.

Abstract: A folding leg mechanism for a table is adapted to be releasably locked in a firm, stable position as the leg portion thereof is swung down to extended position from retracted position against the underside of the table top. A longitudinal slot extends through at least one side of the leg and has its longitudinal axis in substantial alignment along the leg with the pivot axis about which the leg swings. A pin extends outwardly through the slot and is adapted for movement along the longitudinal axis of the slot. Spring means are provided for biasing the pin toward that end of the leg which is attached to the table. A trackway is positioned at the side of the leg from which the pin extends, so that the pin rides on and along the trackway as the leg swings between its retracted and extended positions. Abutment means are provided with which the leg makes contact when it is moved to its extended position.

Abstract: A folding table is comprised of a table top and frame of side rails, and includes at each corner formed by the side rails, a further rail attached to the underside of the top forming a channel with one of the side rails. A leg is pivotally attached at each corner on an axis perpendicular to the opposing walls of the channel formed. A locking means is carried within a recess of the further rail which, when a leg is unfolded to its extended position, will be effective under spring loading, to provide a bearing against the leg for locking it into extended position.
